Whose our First choice Knee surgeon?

Should have his medical licence removed every Suns player the past 12-16months whose had Knee surgery has all had complications costing months.

End rant.
That would be the world's leading orthopaedic consultant from Sweden Dr. Hakan Alfredson who specialises in patella tendons. Only the Lord Jesus Christ would be a better option.

Swedish knees are built a bit differently

Are we the only club that doesn't have a season launch ?
I'm not talking about a family day or anything but one for all the corporate sponsors, business partners, staff, players family like all the other club are having ATM

Not sure if there are other clubs who don't have one either, but it actually bugs me that we don't.

Can't help but think I'd be so nervous if I was a Dees supporter right now. Every media outlet talking them up as the next big thing. Jee wiz. I think they're on the improve but that could be the biggest crash and burn.

Us, on the other hand are talked down by most (even half this board lol). I like being the underdog.

I agree!

I honestly don't see the Dees being that much better than last year, especially with Goodwin controlling the preseason but Roos controlling the team for the season proper. What a mismatch. Maybe I'm just being hopeful that they'll fail miserably so we get a good draft pick haha.

Does anyone remember which draft pick we gave up for the Demons' first rounder this year? Was it pick 10? If so, does that mean that if they don't make finals (which is most likely anyway), we are realistically the winners of that trade?

I don't mind the Dees but they've always seemed to struggle when the pressure's on. Think they're in the same boat as us in that they'll need some good luck with injuries to ensure improvement.

It was actually 3 but not really as we received 6 from them as well I believe. Some other later picks exchanged hands too.

At the absolute worst it's going to be pick 11 which really isn't bad at all.

Ah that's right we swapped a few around, but if we were after Ah Chee from the beginning and we ended up using pick 7 instead of 3, it's still a win for us!

Ah Chee was still considered a surprise at pick 6,

I am sure the Dees will finish top 4, for no other reason than we gambled by swapping pick 3 to them for pick 6 hoping that the would fail and we would pick up a top 3 pick again. Lets look at some of our other gambles as the reason I am convinced it will back fire

  • We gave up 2 first rounders including pick 2 for Jack Martin when we could of had Jesse Hogan or just used the 2 top 10 picks
  • We told the world we would trade Harley believing we would get fair value
  • Jarred Brennan for pick 5
  • Malcheski
  • campaigner (thanks for the intro of the team to the 8ball mate)
  • Witherill
  • McKenna (and have Hinkley as a assistant) geez was that backwards
  • Steven Swerdt

Don't forget Campbell Brown on $600/yr lol

I am trying to forget him and Krakour and Bock and Fraser and the bloke we got from the Dees instead of picking up Zorko

Bock may be unfair but the others were certainly a gamble

Unfortunately it was either Bock/Krak/Brown or total nobodies. No one in their right mind would have come to a new club with years of losses ahead of them just because they wanted a new start.

The only people we could have ever possibly attracted were players with issues who came for the money.

We got extremely lucky to have snagged Gaz. He's the exception.

And let's be realistic: we still haven't passed the phase of being unable to attract decent non-drafted talent. The only big fish we've caught was Malceski who came for the retirement cheque.

On and off field success will change that. Hopefully it's not too far away!
