So with the whole revalation that up to 11 Collingwood players were on the gear during the offseason, and two clubs including one interstate team had higher results (allegedly), do people think that we are obviously one of the teams with a higher amount (as some in the media and on the main baords have rumoured)? I mean the infamous Dixon instagram post raised some questions, and it was apparently the first year where such strict guidelines were in place so some of the boys may have been caught out. Would obviously be super disappointed if it were true, but where theres smoke and all that. What is everyones opinion on the whole 'saga'?

EDIT: should mention, is a Slobbo article so who knows how factual it actually is

That random interstate club not named is us until proven otherwise. I just hope none of the players in the leadership group tested positive. Seeing May in the Charlie Dixon photo does not fill me with a lot of confidence.

Why, that Charlie Dixon photo was nothing

They barely got drunk that night of the Dixon photo. Was ****ing water on the table! Hahaha

Cocaine does not look like that.

From where I sit, and that's a bl**dy long way from anything OZ, I think it's all about selling news and Robbo needs to do that to keep his job. Why else would only Collingwood get mentioned and he not disclose every other Club that's supposedly involved.....it'll get Eddie fired up and be in the news for days. Robbo is such an under achiever, riding on every one else's shirt tails......I don't rate him at all.....

Collingwood is the relevant drug because they recently had 2 players banned for taking recreational drugs laced with a WADA banned drug. Despite that 11 players from Collingwood still took the risk on drugs, knowing that they now risk more than just a strike and slap on the wrist.

Believe both the Suns and NM in bottom quartile re hair testing results. You'd think Suns happy given past hiccups. @7Sport @7NewsMelbourne

Woohoo!
I saw 'hair' and thought it was going to be a Lonergan joke.

Seriously though that's awesome news if true.

I'm still grinning about this, hours after hearing it. I mean, I would prefer zero, but to be in the bottom two clubs for positive results is amazing, given what we've been through. One of the tidbits released a while back said that the lowest positive drug tests for an unnamed club was three. That's probably us. Given that we can all guess who those three are, and the chance of those three being at the club next year are fairly slim, it's all positive signs for the future at the Suns.

What's the deal with the 15m kick for a mark to be paid in the defensive 50? I'm seeing 20-25m kicks that the umpire calls play on before they have even been marked by the player. If the AFL has directed the umpires to err on the side of not paying the mark why don't they come out and say that the rules have changed and the kick has to be 25m to pay a mark in the defensive 50.

Just re-acquainted myself over the weekend with how much Jonathon Brown hates us and how he has to say anything nice about Tom Lynch through gritted teeth
Yeah I prefer Alastair Lynch as he is much fairer and knowledgeable in his appraisals of us. Much more pro-Queensland football whereas Brown is just pro-Lions.

Bit more news from Stevo on our recent drug testing results.

Good the club is testing everyone, not just random. Definitely trying to weed out any other bad eggs.

And according to Doc Larkins, the club know who the positive results are.

Any chance that some of the guys who the club now know about have had their papers stamped at the selection table?

Are you suggesting previous best 22 players who played in the NEAFL this week weren't dropped based on form?

Just stirring the pot a bit - however there were a couple of surprise inclusions at selection this week, especially if they are only older fringe players.

Just further to this I had to laugh when he was leading the posse gunning for Lynchy after the report for the spoil
Clean as the driven snow was Browny
