You will be missed... You are one of the main reasons I got involved in this posting lark... Used to just enjoy reading your intelligent posts that were laced with surliness and screamed of confrontation! Treated everyone equally...
Never say never Darkwing, you will not just be welcome but celebrated should you return.
Thanks for the kind words! Keep telling it how it is boss!

Don't delete your account, you'll be back. Following the Suns is like having a crack cocaine addiction, you know it's bad, others tell you it's bad but you still can't get enough. I pulled my account last year and missed the shit that you all post. Being an IT nuffy, I didn't know how to get the old name back.:drunk:

Who were you in your previous BF life if you don't mind me asking FC?

Bought another membership today (just a 3 gamer) after reading Tom Lynch's interview on the Suns website I was inspired.

Still no word from Gaz, not impressed. Hopefully someone has given him some feedback about how unhappy the fans are with his post game on the ground behavior after such a heavy loss GCFC Digital

I was considering not going up this weekend, but I've decided to go and support Tom and Azza Hall and Matt Rosa and the other guys who actually give a frig

My wife describes Gaz as "too precious"
Maybe he's moping and sulking about being judged on his post match behaviour?
I was his biggest supporter for the captaincy, but maybe we're seeing why he was never going to be captain of Geelong

I find it funny when people dismiss actions like Gaz on Saturday night saying it's just a game. It's their job, they are meant to take it very seriously post-match all the way through to recovery the next morning etc.
If I had just ****ed up majorly at work and was seen to be laughing / joking around afterwards by my boss well I can imagine he would be pretty pissed with my work attitude. These boys get paid well because it is a 24/7 job. I've no problems with them shaking hands and saying hello after the match but there's a time and place for joviality and straight after the worst loss in your club's history is not it.

I'm imagining movie-like scenes at the latest honesty session. Rocket shouting "do you bleed for the club?" as he plunges a knife into his forearm. "DO YOU BLEED!?"

Rocket setting fire to a guernsey as the players look on in horror. Tom Lynch leaps up, pushes Rocket out of the way, snatches the guernsey and stomps on it until the fire is out. Rocket hugs Lynch and says "You're ready, my son."

Rocket lets go of Lynch and turns to the players. "Was he the only one who wanted to fight for the jumper!?" The players eye their peers nervously. A hulking figure stands up. "I did not fight for the jumper because it deserved to burn. That jumper was worn during the Geelong game. That jumper will not be the jumper we want to fight for. It deserved to be burned. It deserved to be cleansed. I will fight for the jumper. I will not fight for that jumper."

The players jump up and cheer. They set fire to their old guernseys. Rocket nods in respect for the way Maysie's words inspired them all. Tom Lynch hangs on to his half-burnt jumper, refusing to let it be burned any further. He pledges to hang it up near his bed so he may wake up to it every day and be reminded of this day.

Interview with the skipper will be on SUNS TV later this evening.

He makes a mention of Iva Bigun too I've been told.
Good I hope it's an angry mention, would like to see him fire up even if it is a few days late. Great guy and footballer but proving not to be a leader of men. I can't see Hodge smiling after a loss like that.

Exactly is a top bloke BUT absolutely not a leader he fence sits, tries to be too nice to everybody and doesn't like confrontation.
There's 3 massive strikes right their l would suggest. Very poor choice as Captain but was part of package offered l'm afraid.

Hi guys, let's try not to get too down on things at the moment. We've all been there, we've all been guilty of letting... little things get to us. I didn't say anything because I didn't feel like it was my place. Not when I'm so new to this friendship thing. I still have a lot to learn. But I do know that if you don't work out even the smallest problems right at the start, the magic of friendship can be turned into something else.

If we put out positive energy and be strong ponies for our team, then maybe they'll feel that at the club. And maybe the song we sing together will be one of success.

Sending this post to forensics , will post results later today.

Just want to say one thing on this whole Suns being garbage point. Does it look like the team is shit this year, set to lose Jaeger and Prestia in the offseason, and in rough shape moving forward? Absolutely. But lets put things in context. This team has existed since what, 2011? The Saints haven't won a flag in 50 years. Have some patience. We have a bunch of draft picks, some good academy players, and a little bit of salvageable young talent. Tom Lynch is only 23 years old, and is set to be a great captain for several years to come. It's not like we're destined to be wooden spoon contenders for the next 5+ years. Obviously GWS has handled their birth a hell of a lot better than we have, but we're still in the short term. The team will be competitive sooner or later. It isn't always going to be gumdrops and roses. That's the nature of sport.

It was a bad look after the game. Hoping it was just a release after he and Selwood were pushing, shoving and getting into each other's faces in the 3rd quarter for a 15 minute period. They looked fair dinkum with the niggle during the game at least. Still not great when you get ripped a new one and smile.

Got to admit it is hard being a supporter of this club , every time we sense something good about to happen we get a cricket bat to the back of the head and put back into our box , but as others have said all we can do is stick fat and hope the club knows what its doing . It is frustrating for all of us that after 6 seasons we are still getting these 100 pt drubbings , it is deflating , but there is bright skies around the corner .
How far away is this corner? We've been lead to believe that for 3 years now
