Ashcroft, Clayton, Solomon, Lovell, and Primus all need to be moved on at the end of the season.
I agree with all of them except Clayton. He's had some hits and misses but i think he's a very good recruiter. After listening to the road to the draft podcast the Sydney recruiter talked very highly of what he did at Brisbane and the Western Bulldogs.

Is there a way to get Bowes and Scheer to play? Do we have lookalikes? Can 3/4 our team come down with "food poisoning"? Can Ablett "retire" for two weeks? Anything?

Got a feeling there's gonna be some gooood venting in here this season.
Could slot one of them for Brooksby. Is never seen on the field anyway, so nobody will bat an eyelid

Oh I agree completely. BUT after our best 20 or so - the next 20 players on our list cant tackle or get the ball! Hence why I have been frustrated for a couple years on the players we recruit/list management.
Agree completely also but that's the 2 layered problem with a injury toll like ours. The players you speak are playing way before they are ready and are having their confidence, skills and development smashed into tiny little pieces playing seniors when absolutely not ready /up to it.

BTW Zac Smith doesn't look any better to me
You're kidding, right?? He is not only holding his position in a team that is second on the ladder, but he is also playing well. Zac would be laughing at the Suns, he is going to play finals football well before any of our guys. I know where he would rather be and unfortunately most of the Suns players with an ounce of talent would rather be somewhere else too....

Brooksby would look like a gun at Geelong

Averaging same stats as last year. The only difference is he has better players around him. It's the same Zac Smith.

Did you see his game yesterday? It is far from the same Zac Smith. Regardless, the guy would be stoked to be where he is at and thanking God that he is no longer with the Suns. That is fact.

I am sure he is happier, who wouldn't be. He is locked in as a #1 ruck and has Stanley as a complementary ruck partner who he can co-exist with unlike Nicholls.

Yep! I knew a guy I use to work with. He'd be 70 odd now but he's a mad lions supporter. I recently ran into him and he talked Scott Clayton up big time. I'd have to agree tho. Scotty should stay

I guess he is just lucky a pathetic club didn't want him and a champion club did. Oh the irony.
Tyzacl no one here cares about Zac Smith why are you getting so upset about him. He quit the Club and asked for a trade to go to a club where he would get 1st Ruck with no competition because Geelong didn't have any genuine ruckman. Good luck to him l would have done the same thing Eade didn't rate him and he went to at Club that was on the verge of putting a Geelong jumper on a 200 cm witches hat if they couldn't find a ruckman. Smith came up in trade he fitted Geelongs needs perfectly as they just wanted someone to at least compete which they are getting.
I personally don't think there has been any improvement and the AAAAA midfield around is making him appear much better than he is BUT he is exactly what Geelong needed and wanted and is filling that role and he would ATM be l'm sure rightly very happy with his decision.
But losing a fringe competitive Ruckman is the absolute very least of the Suns issues ATM.

Am on the Gold Coast, staying in surfers awaiting Saturdays game, so I can go home disappointed.
Working out what to do tonight.. Realised the titans are playing, few questions, well one main one, easy to get to from surfers? Where is cbus super stadium?
Do you need me to shag your missus just to completely **** up the week for you?

struggling to find any positives at the moment, even the thought of an early draft pick scares me as we will either **** it up or sell it to a team we thing may fail next year in the hope that we get an even better pick

Someone help me out, what are the positives as you see them at the moment

No great positives at the moment
I do believe and have stated a couple of times that Rocket and the Club are focussed on getting us through to the bye
It's why they won't be rushing guys like Swallow and O'Meara back and will take their time getting Thompson Rosa and others as fit as possible
I think we'll win a few in the back end hopefully setting us up for next year
It was a bit the opposite last year where we were still getting injuries right through to round 22
Our injuries are bewildering but hold onto the fact that none are listed as "Season"
That's my "positive"!

It's surely all uphill from here? :$
