I live in Mordi which is next suburb over.. Its next to impossible to live around here and surrounding suburbs, as soon as a house goes on the market its sold in a matter of hours.
If you havent been here in 10 years, youre in for a rude shock..

I live in Sydney and any shithole sells in hours for millions doesn't make it a great just makes it expensive

Our senior players earn 3k a match payments plus contract , you would have to be bloody good to earn that match fee in suburbia.

Pretty sure each contract on senior list (after 2 years for a new draftee) is individually negotiated. Rookies get agreed base and match payment in seniors of around $4,000. Senior listed kids get around $85,000 in their first 2 years plus around $4,000 per game. Some senior contracts have an agreed amount regardless of games played (no $$ per game) and others might say have base of &200,000 plus $3,000 per senior game. It's up to a manager to negotiate the best deal with the base and/or amount per game. Ablett is probably on a set amount and the bottom end senior players on a lower base and higher amount each senior game played.

Had a convo with a player last year about this , this is not related to Neafl or Rookie as i dont know but seniors he said they all earn $2,600 a game of seniors not mattwer who they where and this year its bumped up to $3k a game , on top of that they all have there own base contracts , so they are doing all right.

I grew up in Mentone, l love Mordialloc and Parkdale.
Mordialloc is an awesome spot, love the main street the beach and that pier is a cracker.
 
Vent time. Holy shit the Melbourne media are annoying. They have no idea about the suns. Even Quayle who I rate highly wrote our off season as a breakeven or small loss. Then Caro sticking the boot in as well over Ablett and saying how bad our off season has been because we lost two players. It's almost as if they just enjoy sticking it to us. And they realise most of their readers know no difference so will eat it up. How anyone could say the past couple of months has been anything but fantastic is just ridiculous. We lost one key player and another one who had not played for two years. We gained good free agents and smashed the draft. Our ruckman and swallow both re signed, we got 4 top ten draft picks who are great mates as well as good prospects. And from all inside reports everyone is happy as Larry. It's all very pleasing. I should just learn to not read any reports about us that aren't from reliable source.

My mates tell me a 4 bedroom tear down in Mordialloc goes for $900,000 +. Unbelievable.
