My mail is it the news filtered through to the entire playing group and that's why they all looked like zombies for the first 40 minutes.Apparently the family kept the news secret whilst Cian was playing.
Must admit before I found out about this I was wondering why Pearce was having such a shocker

It really does put life in perspective though when you hear something like that and see one of your mates directly affected. Very much reduces the significance of a game of footy.I actually heard similar tonight. The entire team found out not long before the game and it left everyone feeling flat. Not really a great excuse for professional footballers, but understandable all the same
He actually has a small deformity where he can't bend his knees.Serious question. Can Jarred Witts jump?
Thought he did ok in the ruck but he could be awesome if he just jumped..at all.
Polio? He actually has a small deformity where he can't bend his knees.
Below 20% HTA though hurts, but like the look himThought he was one of the catalysts that got us moving in the third and fourth quarters. His height appeared to start helping when Martin tired. Needs to do more around the ground though. When have we ever won 37 hit outs before? Is that a club record?
the hitout to advantages will come as the the midfield group gelsBelow 20% HTA though hurts, but like the look him
He's totally average, but he's still our ruckman of the century.Thought he was one of the catalysts that got us moving in the third and fourth quarters. Agreed. Witts was dominating the hit outs but the midfielders were running to really strange positions.the hitout to advantages will come as the the midfield group gels

There was one amazing hit out that would have gone straight down Gaz's throat but instead, Gaz decided he would turn his back and the ball flew straight passed him.

So the lions didn't get told or did they just took a different outlook on the tragedy

Geez 16 years old. Devastating newsSadly, Pearce & Cian's younger brother Tommy (16) has passed away.

'Tributes have been paid to Tommy Hanley, the younger brother of Mayo AFL players Pearce and Cian, who has passed away following an illness.
The 16-year-old had been unwell for some time, with Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson posting a get well soon video to Hanley online in 2016. Pearce and Cian Hanley returned home to be with their brother last week, with duo granted leave from their AFL clubs.'
part time footballer, full time model, tom derickx. not much of an achievement to be honest. What spud was playing in the ruck for Sydney to allow Zac 39 hitouts?
Not a bad effort by Witts then in his first game for us.
very sad stuffSadly, Pearce & Cian's younger brother Tommy (16) has passed away.
