They've finished basically last every year. Then when it comes to re signing players they don't stick around anyway

I think both Queensland clubs are in need of a priority pick as much as each other.

2017:
Brisbane - 18th (Wooden Spoon)
Gold Coast - 17th

2016:
Brisbane - 17th
Gold Coast - 15th
Essendon - 18th (Wooden Spoon, depleted team due to drug sanctions)

2015:
Brisbane - 17th
Gold Coast - 16th
Carlton - 18th (Wooden Spoon)

2014:
Brisbane - 15th
Gold Coast - 12th
St Kilda - 18th (Wooden Spoon)
Note: We finished better than Carlton, the Bulldogs, the Lions, GWS, Melbourne, and St Kilda this year, and since then each of those teams have surpassed us in their development excluding Brisbane. This is also our best performing year according to ladder position in our short history.

2013:
Brisbane - 12th
Gold Coast - 14th
GWS - 18th (Wooden Spoon)

2012:
Brisbane - 13th
Gold Coast - 17th
GWS - 18th (Wooden Spoon, inaugural year)

2011:
Brisbane - 15th
Gold Coast - 17th (Wooden Spoon, inaugural year)
 
The AFL needs to get serious about QLD, I already know that those morons in Melbourne are completely hopeless, sleazy and incompetent and the state of our two clubs up here totally exposes them.

Both QLD clubs are worthy of not one but two priority picks each.
One each at the beginning of the first round and one each at the end of the first round.

We are a 20 year plan, getting guys coming through the academy is perfect for us and the afl

The NRL team I hate the most the Brisbane Drongoes got done too

At least the Drongoes were competing though
Geelong are poo wrapped in poo and then given a poo vomit

How you think, obviously is entirely up to you.....but from my pov, you need to take a good look at yourself....he has just achieved something we couldn't provide......and yet you're down on him for improving himself... I just don't get you......your negativity astounds me.
I'm pretty sure I'm no big fan of those south of the Murray, never have been, but I'm all for people improving their lot in life. And from all accounts, that is what Dion has done.
Sure, I wish he stayed with us, but he moved to improve his life.......and the training and circumstances The Suns provided helped him do that.. What he is achieving now is because of The Suns and what The Suns taught him. To me, that is a positive....

I applaud your passion towards The Suns, I really do, and it would be good to have more people feel the same, but please, just try and stop with all the negativity that you sprout....

I don't like players leaving us, especially when we make them fair offers and we want them to stay. Even if they are a nice person or a thorough professional.
It's still a rejection of club, community, members, fans etc.
And it makes not hanging around and going the hard road to building our club look rewarding to anyone else flirting with the idea.

Can't fault him for wanting to GENUINELY want to be close to family. Was offered good coin from us aswell. And went about it the right way for fans.
