News that Bomber Thompson is facing drug related offences including two counts of trafficking ecstasy, one of trafficking ice and possession of ecstasy and LSD. Remember when he was going to coach us after Mckenna was sacked? Imagine the club got him to fix the culture while the Bennell stuff was happening. Geez that was a good decision.

That’s what I was thinking. Soon after McKenna was sacked Bomber was approx $1.20 with the bookies to be our coach...Holey Moley imagine he was the one brought in back then. He blew out from $1.20 to long odds pretty quickly, they must have known something.

Yeah he was a odd person this explains a lot of it.

What does everyone think about the Hawkins report from tonight's game? Late, high hit from behind, given 50m and the Hawkins inexplicably reaches out to push the umpire and is only stopped from doing so by a Giants player. Is Tom Hawkins a protected species or will be get rubbed out for a few weeks? BTW with all the Cats fans hissing and bitching about Lindsay Thomas calling his bump on SSelwood "a dog act". Pay attention, princesses of pussy park, because what Tom Hawkins did tonight was an actual dog act. He kneed his opponent in the back and punched him in the back of the head. The contest was late, as Haynes had already affected the mark, and it was cowardly. The commentators are all dizzy for Geelong, so they're no use. Decide for yourself.

Has to be a week at least, there was intent to touch the umpire

Takes his eyes off the ball and looks at Haynes before lining him up too.
Different rules for Geelong though, nothing to see.

AFL does not want to go down the line of making the touching of Umpires less sacrosanct and I think going from Suspensions down to Fines is a dangerous path to go down

And in other news as more info comes to light aren’t Fremantle looking like a backward disrespectful dog of a club behind the scenes now.
No wonder LWeller wanted out.

Is today the day that brave Lachlan and fearless Charles finally slay the myth of the Luke Davies-Unicorn?

Weller and Ballard get their chance to start showing why the trade wasn't lop-sided after all.

Imo, two different things going on here.

In the moment, the trade was lopsided. We gave up a lot more than any other club has had to give up. It sucks, but that is fact.

But that also has nothing to do with the outcome of the trade. Given where we are at, if Weller and Ballard become top 10 players on our list and stay around long term, we will take it every day of the week. Even if LDU or Dow become jets.

So today we get to see something of the outcome of the trade. My fingers are crossed. I have already cleaned up the vomit I spewed all over the floor when I saw the official trade come through.

Loving seeing Brisbane lose a close game :)
There are 3 games they have lost by a single digit margin. The Suns have lost only one by a close margin, but all 3 wins would have been losses without significant improvement in the team's attitude this year. The other 3 games were losses for us and none of them pretty.

doesn't matter how you spin it they are still 0-7 :)

Which is good for us because the closest game they came to winning, or at least drawing, as against the Suns. Still, I'd have liked them to beat Collingwood, who are our direct opponents for the bottom rungs of the Top 8.

Really did not matter , I just hope Afl don't give them any more priority pick , or that player must be mature age state league player .

The Lions aren't far away from being a contender again. They really just need to continue to improve their list with effective draft selections, nurture local players through their academy and trade intelligently, then you'll see them improve by a couple of goals a game and begin to move up the ladder.
