OK it's rant time and I'm feeling a bit like a "Bodsy clone" here.

I've just watched the replay of VFL 360 and it's about time that Fox Footy realised there's more than 10 Victorian teams in the Competition. There's another 8 who reside outside of Victoria, not that you'd know, if you continually watch this biased garbage.

All we got for 55 minutes was bl**dy Geelong and Melbourne post scripts, with St.Kilda thrown in as an aside, cause Richardson was on the panel. No mention of the 5pt game Adelaide v Brisbane, very very little of the GWS v Port game and apart from the last 48 seconds of the program, no mention of the Suns having their 1st win ever over Sydney who sit 4th on the ladder. even the Collingwood v North game didn't rate a mention from this Geelong centric commentary. All that was missing was Derwayne Russell giving his Geelong point of view over everything.
This program should definitely be re-named GEELONG 360 or something similar.......cause if you happen to reside north of the Murray or West of the border, then you obviously don't rate, in the eyes of these self-entitled VICS......

rant over......and another scotch coming up.
Gave up watching that a few seasons back - never a flattering mention of an interstate team. I only have Foxtel to get all the games live ...stuff the rest of their Vic biased shows.

The final segment of the show was about the Suns and in the middle was about the Swans vs Suns match. It's a tough time of year because a lot of the focus is the race to the finals.

Correct, the final 58 seconds was about the Suns but if the focus is about the finals, as you posted, then surely Port v GWS should get as much air time as Geelong v Melbourne, and they didn't even rate a mention, and maybe even a bit, not much, but a bit, about Adelaide trying to make the 8 and only winning by 5 against a team out of contention. Sorry mate but I just can't agree with you on this one..there are 18 teams in the competition and all supporters want to hear about their team whether there in the finals or not but agree that once finals come around that is where most commentary would be. But this mob seem only to be concerned about Melb teams in finals contention...maybe things will be different next week and Geelong won't get a mention and it'll be 55 minutes of Richmond v Collingwood...(tongue in cheek) cause i know that won't happen with Scott and Richardson on the panel.

To be honest I really don't have a problem if all they want to do is televise stuff to suit their Victorian viewers, just don't have the audacity to call it AFL 360 and treat every viewer who resides outside of Victoria as a complete imbecile...you'll have to let me know how it goes, cause I won't waste my time watching...

I agree with parts. Geelong vs Melbourne was after the siren though. I have noticed the lower matches get mentioned more on Tuesday/Wednesday. There seems to be a bigger Victorian focus on Monday with Scott and Richardson on there. Maybe they could get a interstate coach but it might not work with a tv deal.

This biased viewpoint from the Victorian media is the reason i started the GCSUNSCAST we needed some form of media talking about the suns. Im sick of the 30 seconds we average on these shows unless its about a star player wanting to leave our club.

There are no suns players in the top 100 players for score involvements.

In fact number 75 - Patrick Cripps has 90 score involvements

Number 100 - josh Kennedy has 83

Our top Aaron young and Alex
Sexton have 75 a piece.

I dare say we might not have anyone in the top 150!

My one and only disappointment with the great win against the Swans was that we had to do it in our soulless white clash jersey. Obviously, the Swans are red and white, so red is out but why on Earth do we have to wear white? Surely blue and gold can't be the sole preserve of West Coast? I've always wondered why green has never been considered either given that the Gold Coast is typified by its green hinterlands and iconic headlands. Even the ocean is more green than blue. I know there's a jersey thread, but I need to vent about this - there's no white in the Suns colours and we need to have pride in the jersey. I could see us losing a Grand Final in the future based solely on having to wear that piece of crap strip which is just a Lions rip-off anyway.

Maybe the 8% of colourblind men think green is shithouse idea against Shitknee's red?

The yellow one from the tac cup would be better

This one is good, but it needs a better logo. The Covermore advertising would match too.

Thanks for raising a stat that I have valued for a long time. Young and Sexton are not only goal scorers but goal assists. If those guys have 100 score involvements a year and you add Holman and MacPherson plus getting the tall forwards all contributing similar numbers, the Suns will win more games than we lose. It is a good indicator of where our goals are coming from and where we need to improve. I'll mention it on the GCSunscast if I get a chance.

I’ll have to listen to this sunscast thing.

I was highlighting that is a very low number from everyone in our team. Probably that our goals come from hard work and occasional random acts rather than consistent play or strategy.

Jack Martin has the highest average but of course played less games.

It doesn’t help them put forward line has been someone of a revolving door outside young and sexton.
Lynch
Wright
McPherson
Ah chee played some forward line
Day
Holman only playing forward second half of the year

I heard Gil this morning on SEN mention that he and the commission are looking at trialing the new rules that Steven Hocking recommends during three round games during the end of the season, as he sees those games have no baring on the final 8. Clearly one game I can think of would be Gold Coast vs Brisbane, however in my opinion if they trial it it can have a barring on the draft order. Thoughts?

This isn't a goal, but they paid it.

Pretty amazing though.
Why not a goal - a throw is to another person whilst being tackled . Not tackled - no-one touched the ball between him letting it go and him kicking it - it did not touch the ground - the ball stayed inside the field of play - no opponent touched it - GOAL !
Any umpire advisor that says different should get a job with the NRL bunker crew...!.
