My team has gone to the shit!!

Houlihan (0)
Bock (0)
NGB (warren)
Bateman (25/calf)
Kornes (120/shoulder)
Higgins (Cockie)

In one F*** week! I might only get 1800. Im on 1509 with only gilbert, volt and geary to play!!

wow this is gay,
had a full team last week, this weeks outs include:
Houlihan
ablett
lucas
N.g brown
higgins
m Brown (emergency)

traded out harvey for goodwin who is now injured,

FML

***********

On 1468 with Captain Cox and Macaffer to come after these peices of shit:
Petrenko
Dangerfield
Priddis
N G Brown
Higgins
Goodwin
Hodge

Was on target for 2000 after last night!!! ************

EDIT: I TRADED OUT WALKER THIS WEEK!!

AH **** IT.

Players missing from my squad this week:

Houlihan, Raines, Greenwood, Priddis (traded in for Ablett), Harlett, Anthony, Spencer, Jacobs, NGB, Higgins, M.Brown & Skippy.

Add to that Kornes pops his AC joint after I traded him in for Beams.

Thats 13 out of 30 players missing. Not holding out any hope of getting any of these guys back next week either.

x2

And **** my stupid decision to not check the final teams before lockout and leaving M Brown and the FWD emergency instead of putting Walker in. Is probably going to cost me 100+ points

Glad I'm not the only ******** to do this. Just pissed away 115 points.

Lucas and Houlihan dropped plus Kornes, Goodwin and Higgins gone in the last 2 days...just to add to the rest.

Not worth bothering with.

edit:..plus petrenko completes the total lack of cover now that he's dropped also.

I'm not usually one to complain (that much) because I know there will be people out there in a worse position than me but f**k I'm being screwed this week.

Planned on trading Walker to Stevie J this week but with Houlihan being dropped I did Cheney to Mackie to avoid the backline zero. Quarter time:

S.Johnson - 44
A. Mackie - -1

Then Nathan Brown doesn't play and with Mitch Brown out I will have a f**ken zero.

F**k me, just looked at the quarter by quarter scores from the match last night and have a look at the contributions from my players last night in the last quarter:

Franklin - 7
Hodge - 0
Tuck - 3

DT can f**k itself, anybody who says they are dissapointed about 'only' getting 2000 can f**K themselves.

They say you only get out what you put in, well I did a fair f**kload of research when selecting my team during the preseason this year and my rank has blown out from 3,000 to 18,000 in 3 weeks.

I would say DT is about 15% skill and 85% luck and I have been f**ked over majorly this year. If DT is a marathon then I've been tripped, shat on, kicked in the face, run over by a bus and now I'm given up on the race and am heading to the pub.

Crazyman27 vent over.

Vent almost undid:)

Disappointed in the lack of these sort of posts..

Cox!1!1! WTF. Only 110!1 U suk, i h8 u die in a hole u piece of crap!1!

Im only gonna score 2100 cause of u u tool!!!

Pick up your game guys.:)

Relatively minor in the grand scheme of things, but Nick Malceski.

Bought him expecting a conservative 75 average, with anything above a positive - Now averaging 64, a delightful improvement of two points on last year's average.

Expected him to move back to the half back flank where he scored those two tons last year - Has spent almost every week playing as a leading forward, then when he finally spent a bit of time playing back this week, he manages to pick up 18 touches but only score 49.

Took him over Mundy, Drummond and Hargrave - all are averaging at least 20ppg more.

And to top it all off, I wouldn't be surprised if he's given the arse this week and spends the next month plodding around in Canberra picking up 79 touches a game, only to return and average somewhere in the mid 60s.

**** it.

Unlucky with Malceski, was tossing up whether to go with him or Adcock for most of the preseason, ended up going with Adcock.

I hate it when those decisions go wrong. For instance, I went for Simmonds over McIntosh due to his durability and what I perceived to be an almost-guaranteed position as the Tigers first-choice ruckman considering how well he served them last year.

Didak over SJ, Gian over Chappy, Lucas over Ziebell etc. In fact my best decision has been Lockyer over Bock/McMahon

I want to vent about Bock. He has cost me my league game, and possibly my eliminator game too. I chose him because of his durability, not looking so crash hot now.

Think you have it around the wrong way, 85% skill 15% luck. If it was a majority luck then you wouldn't see gun's like SkankDanker dominate year after year.

Shaun Higgins weak as...
No cover for you, opponent has Walker as emergency & I now look like going down by less than 50.
Vent over

Well there is the problem right there. No cover.

I think thats abit harsh this year.
Considering the number of durable players who have missed.
Personally I have theses

Anthony, Raines, Broughton, Jacobs, Spencer, Hille, Tuck, Skipworth, Higgins, M. Brown, Didak, Beams, Ablett, K. Cornes and Goodwin and theres still another game to go.

Houlihan who got dropped doesnt help matters.

Thats over 2 Injuries per round. Others have had more than me aswell.
Considering the number and extent of injuries this year I think luck has a huge part of things and trade management will be massive. Some guys at work are down to 12 trades just trying to manage injuries which means they can afford probably only 3-4 upgrades.

If things continue in this fashion (2 per week) then its likely you'll use all 20 trades just trying to keep a full team on the park.

out of your list you would have only have had to trade hille, skipworth and maybe goodwin. should have held onto/had cover for the rest. dont think it means you have to use 2 trades every week, like the people trading ablett seems absurd to me. with all the other injuries going around surely you can have him on the bench for 2-3 weeks.

I have made three trades (Not 2 per week)
Anthony to Zaharakis (pleased with him aswell).
Skipworth to Warren (Needed the $$ for the below trade)
Hille to Cox (Had HMac as 2nd ruck)

I have 17 trades inhand, copped 1 backline Zero (houlhan) but it sounds like I could have a full 9 backs next week if Raines, Broughton and Houlihan all make an appearance, will be glad to put Petstinko on the pine for his dismal scores.
Ablett, Beams on midfield bench
Jacobs, Spencer on Rucks bench
Didak and Brown on forwards bench with Higgins giving me the late finger for my 2nd donut.

I am aiming for overall rank and work league win. Injuries have seen me slide from 250 odd down to 3,700 odd over last couple of weeks and my 1850-1900 score this week will likely see me slide closer to 5,000. However I am saying that some people I know have been hurt alot worse by injuries than I have.

I am just as screwed over by the injuries, but i think it is disrespectful to the people that have proven over the years that skill certainly has a big big say in where you finish. If it was mainly luck then we wouldn't see the consistency from these guns that we do.
