Vent Thread (Part 3)

I can't vent at my GWS rookies, so I'll vent at Ratten. You're nullifying Reilly while Danger is destroying you. Get Robbo into the middle!

Riewoldt's consistent 70's outside of the Gold Coast game made me think he wasn't going to be a premium, and his 81 average since then suggests I was right. Averages are misleading in this case anyway, Riewoldt has one high outlier of 126, without which his average is 78. Zaharakis has one low outlier of 47, without which his average is 94.

Anyway, his average over the whole season isn't relevant. What's relevant is what they would've scored for my side, and Zaharakis would've scored 310 at an average of 103.3 whereas Riewoldt would've scored 245 at an average of 81.7.

I don't regret trading Riewoldt at all, he's clearly not a premium this year. What I do regret is my choice of trade target, because Cloke is starting to look like a one season wonder.

You say this, yet you still have Riewoldt.

Sorry James, but you have really low standards for your Dream Team players. A forward who was priced at 85 and ends up averaging 85 again is nothing to be happy about.

Nice 103 by NRoo this week, gp. Against quality opposition playing interstate. Average up to 88 average now. May end up a F7 keeper afterall. :thumbsu:

This^ I can't really vent about Murphy getting injured, it's not his fault. But I will vent at myself for making him Captain & vent at Ratten using Robbo as a tagger.

It would be reasonable to expect at least 320 from Murphy (C) & Robbo but no, I got 107. These 2 players cost me 200+ points and all 5 league matches as well as Eliminator. FMDTL :thumbsd::thumbsd:

Good riddance Murphy. While you're recovering, you should learn how to cop a tag

Its the reason i didnt start with Murphy.

I kept asking myself why clubs wernt tagging Murphy and going H2H with judd. Finally coaches made this decision about a year late. It was also a reason along with uniqueness why i picked Shiels over Murphy at round 12ish last year.

I however was starting to change my mind a little on Murphy not being able to handle a tag as he was going quite well against the 2nd tier tags, his running was second to none. No one could keep up with him. However those heavy top tier tags have finally got to him.

So he had a poor score against the Saints.

He was however on 27 when he got injured midway through the second quarter, a far from disgraceful effort.

You picked Murph for his durability and the fact he rarely had a bad game last year (DT wise) and just continued to pump out ton after ton.

If you had the 'brilliance' to foresee the opposition coaches finally tagging Murphy over Judd six rounds into the season then good for you.

Scored well at the beginning, But as you say the tag came his way and he broke it for a few games but getting tagged week in week out takes its toll moreso than when it is a 50/50 call from week to week who gets the tag out of him and Judd.

Still if he comes back fully fit and drops to 400k. Hello Murphy :thumbsu:

Yeh it could well be a case of 600k Stanton > M.Murphy 400k (200k profit)

It seems Murphy can handle a tag when he plays shit opposition and they flog them. He seems to get some cheap footy in the last half when the game is over as the tag becomes non existent. I almost picked Murphy based on his easy draw/start vs Bris, Rich, Ess, GWS and pies who dont tag through midfield.

Swan injured and Greene suspended. *sigh*

Will probably have to cop a 0 or a low score in my mids for a week or so.

I didn't mind Hargrave having a bad week last week but 2 in a row now and he looks shaky as a keeper.

FFS you are the junktime king yet you've scored negative points in junktime the last two weeks in a row grrrr.

On a non DT related note he is one of the least influential players I've seen.

Agree with this. Other than cheap marks in the back 50, he doesn't seem to contribute in a positive way. Nor does he make a negative impact.

Just a "meh" player if that makes sense.

Lack of trades + already too many Rd 12 and 13 backs = forced to keep Hargrave for most of us.

Lift!

This. Need him to be my Rnd 11 premo, so cant trade him.

Got Swans next week at SCG, so prob another poor score but then 12 & 13 he gets Port and Lions, hope theres plenty of junking up time then!

Looking on the bright side, hope the last 2 games convinces people to waste their trades and turf him out, then he bounces back into form! :thumbsu:

Small vent at Jelwood, started like a house on fire, then was pretty average..thought it was his speciality to lift another notch when the game is up for grabs?? Needed him to beat my opponent's Pendles. :(

Griffen, Lake and Hargrave could be a bad week that i just couldn't afford to have.

Sometimes it sucks having 3+ players from the same team, especially when they lose or play in a low DT scoring game. I had Murphy, Robinson & Kruezer spud it up against Adelaide, as well as aginst St kilda. My 3 Saints players also spudding it up against Carlton, totally ruining a Sunday afternoon.

Yeh certainly is.

Geelong usually easy to score against aswell but they seemed to pressure at a new level last night.

Can only hope everyone elses M5 just dont do aswell, im not sure who everyone else has their midfield besides Horsley. Whether it be Shiel, Magner or some other premium like Mitchell.

I can only hope people come on here venting at Waters, Cox, Pendles, Broughtons poor performances. They seem the popular 4 that i don't have a lot relies on their performances and how well i go.

Edit: add to that Birchall, Franklin, Hale and Lewis all ripping it up

2nd edit: and now K.Hunt gets subbed

Might white flag this season
