Watching your DT'ers play for shit teams is so frustrating. Hanley is running to the right spots, but his spud teammates keep missing him.

Also, vent at SJ taking out Hanley with a bump to the head. Double whammy. Hanley's score will probably be affected by grogginess, and SJ will probably get a week or two. Never mind the AFL, you two are teammates in the only team that matters! Don't hurt each other!

Wouldn't be a problem if Hanley was playing his normal role. I mean seriously Voss... He was doing so well that he was starting to get attention from other teams so his move is to make him a permanent forward were he has little impact on the game anyway?

I know it gets said a fair bit but if Voss stays at Brisbane then I won't be selecting a Brisbane player next year.

Sick of bringing in players that instantly drop on their average.

Rd 3 - Swallow averaging 126. I bring him in, he starts averaging 90. Bought himself another few weeks with 129 this week, however.

Hanley three rounds ago. Averaging 90, then I bring him in - 35, 74 and 56 tonight.

And Ellis this week. Sigh.

Seems a bit of a strange Kudos, but it's a mark of how much I've given up on this whole round. Sub 1500 here I come. But anyway, kudos to Freo (that was hard to say) for withdrawing Mundy. Better this week than next. Though don't do it next week.

I take that back. Just looked (lockout needs to just f*cking end already, f*ck) and I lost 3 of my 5 matches by 72 points or less (won one, lost the other by 300 ) . David Mundy, your calf, and Fremantle, I am looking squarely at you. If I finish 5th by % it is your f*cking fault. You c*nt.



My point still has some merit though, better this round than next. #short term anger

This is a vent against the extra trades in DT this season, from another perspective.

This week, I was going to have the dream week. The one where you struggle through the bye week with 2 wins out of 3 games, have only 2-4 premium slots left to fill, and a bunch of rookies that haven't hit peak price, yet are pumping out decent enough scores to cover. In this situation, you would normally hold your trades, and be happy (injuries barring) for a couple of weeks not burning trades, waiting for rookies to peak and building towards your final 22.

Not this year.

This week I have been forced to trade Docherty (with a minimum of 2 price rises left in him) to a premium. I've had to do this, because there is no point sitting on the $320k I had sitting in my kitty when I could upgrade to a premium. Also, I am assuming that most other teams will be adding a premium to their 22, and I don't wish to fall behind. I have enough trades left where I have to trade every week, or face wasting trades because I will be left with leftovers come the end of the season.

In this instance, although I have completed my "premium" (term used very loosely - Hartlett, Birchall and Scotland I am looking at you) backline, i would have preferred to have done it with trades and money in mind, rather than being forced to trade because I have so many to make.

tl;dr forced to upgrade to a premium and is unhappy about it.

Just having a look over my trades this year and vent at myself for not backing in my preseason judgement and research.

I started the season with Masten as my M5/M6 after I predicted him to take another step up DT wise this year. Round 1 comes along and he has a quiet game and scores just 77.

The first trade I made for the year was to get rid of Watts for Leuenburger which freed up around 130k and without having any other obvious trade to do, I decided to "upgrade" Masten to Marc Murphy. It cost me about 90k.

Masten picked it up after that first game which I was fine with whilst Murphy scored 110+ in 4 out of the next 5 games. Then it went horribly wrong.

In Murphy's next 6 games he cracked the ton just twice with scores of 105 and 100. To go along with those scores he produced 52,73,70 and then 24 whilst getting injured.

So I finally get to get rid of Murphy. He is only 390k but I have the money to upgrade him if I want. Instead I decide to take the long term approach and instead of getting Boyd, I bring Hrovat.

Hrovat produces 15 points in a round where I desperately needed points, Boyd goes massive and Masten scores another solid 106.

If I had of backed my judgement I would have avoided all that carnage and would have a midfielder that is averaging 101 and only owned by 1% of teams.

Seemed to have injured his quad in the last quarter. Speculation re rested at this point.

They said quad but it might have been his shin based on the icepack.

Either way if he plays it's decision time, about to spiral in price and many have the Vlas / Birchall double in the backs

Yeah I'm pretty sure it was his shin. Should be right to play but may be due for a rest being a younger body
