Wouldnt believe this year im having. So last week i picked Saad over Sexton because of JS and because i thought Sexton had a chance to get dropped after a predicted belting by the saints. Both predictions happened which you would think would lead to success. Nope Saad is playing and is on 63 just after halftime and it looks like he is going to score 100+ also something i thought he was capable of in a belting of the suns so another prediction right. Until he gets concusses and is subbed out.

Then the teams are released was worried about Saad playing. However he is picked and Sexton dropped. Luckily the saints play on the friday night and i see Saad is a late out which i thought could be a chance with his concussion. So i decide to trade Zaka out to save a zero and my only really option that is playing that week that has DPP is N.Haynes a C/F which means by picking him saves me 3 zero's one this week by him playing and two the following week for him playing and another the next week because his DPP allows me to move a C/F to the mids so i only end up having 2 R13 forwards and 2 R13 mids.

So i trade Haynes in for Zaka also gaining money for upgrades. Today i find out some bloke who i have never heard of is a late in, was he even an emergency. Haynes out, ends up costing me unrequired trades and zero's.

What a year it has been the white flag has been drawn.

Lol ^^^^^ makes me feel less angry.

Had giles, zaha, hall, whitecross. Plus had to trade 3 as my bye strategy just to avoid donuts.

Only reason i kept hall, stephenson, redden and whitecross all year was to cover byes. And then they all get dropped around the byes.

Always the way! only comfort is knowing most people are in the same boat.

Sigh. Whenever I want to trade a nearly maxed out rookie to a premium with a massive BE, the premium always has a massive week and the rookie always spuds it up.

When I wanted to trade Shiel to Boyd next week and Boyd had a BE of about 180, Boyd scored 162 that round and Shiel only scored in the 60's.
When I had planned to trade Magner to Robinson next week, Magner had a BE of about 50 and Robinson had a BE of about 160, Robinson scored 141 and Magner scored 53.
This round when I wanted to trade Treloar to Thompson next round, Treloar had a BE of 16 and Thompson had a BE of 190, Thompson goes on to score 141 and Treloar is on ****ing minus 3 at QT.

EDIT: Thompson gets within 50 points of his break even of 190 and Treloar barely makes his break even of 16. If they'd both hit their averages, waiting a week would've cost me 30 points and made me about 50k. As it is, it cost me 124 points and made me about 15k.

There's no ****ing logic to this game. It's all luck, luck, luck.

Treloar with -3 points at quarter time, FFS get on your bike you useless campaigner.

Sounds like the luck I'm having at the moment, I traded Zaharakis in last week only to find out he was a late withdrawal and out for 5-6 weeks with injury.

I also have Saad, had a feeling he might miss last night after that bad head injury but he has been playing well so should keep his spot for the rest of the season barring any more injuries. I'd actually pick him ahead of Milne on current form.

Sigh. Of course all the rookies start spudding it up now that we need them. Bolded are the ones I have/had

Horsley R11: Dropped
Stephenson R11: 26 (4 points off of season low)
Magner R11: 45 (season low)

Brennan R11: 44
Jenkins R11: 32 (season low)
Saad R12: Late withdrawal
Haynes R12: Late withdrawal
Treloar R12: 17 (season low by 40 points)
D. Smith R12: 37 (season low, including the game he was the sub)
Hall R12: Dropped
Sexton R12: Dropped, was a late in but copped the sub vest
Gibson: 23 at half time.

I'm sure there are more who I've forgotten.

Michael Voss! Why you play Rockliff up forward?

FFS, Hanley and Hargrave score 34 between them

Hanley has been absolutely pathetic today. Barely on screen and has screwed up the few opportunities he's had, as well as giving away stupid free kicks. I only brought him in because of the extra game he'd play in comparison to players with a different bye, and he goes and scores the third lowest score of his 49 game career in that extra game. Meanwhile, Adcock nearly tons up just to rub it in, despite the two of them having the same average. Anyone who thinks Dream Team is less about luck than skill can go **** themselves.

Oh well, at least it means Hargrave won't lose any more money so I can trade the prick out for Carrazzo ASAP.

You traded in Handley over Adcock? o_O

Both were averaging about 86 (if you take out the game Hanley was subbed out of with injury) and Hanley doesn't have an injury history or a history of being played in a shitty defensive role.
