Week after week after week I watch SJ rip it up with these massive scores just hoping that he only scores 90 odd so that my reluctance to bring him in so expensive doesn't hurt me too much.
With this weeks game against GC, I decide enough is enough so I pay top dollar for him.
What does he do for me? Gives me the 90 odd that I so desperately wanted while he wasn't in my team!
His score isn't bad but still, ****.

Pure hindsight. I did it too and SJ had given us good reason to make him C. Likewise Gaz's relatively unimpressive form against the Cats gave us reason to consider other options. The best you can hope to do is think the calls through and wait to see how the die lands.

Also vent at ****knuckle Blicavs for giving such ******* scores for the season and then giving decent performances the last 2 weeks.

Glad I'm not the only one who made that mistake.
Rolled the dice on Stevie J and it backfired, probably going to cost me a couple of games against people who had Ablett captain.

It is the golden rule of Dream Team. No matter how much past history, statistical analysis or objective evidence is in your favour, don't make anybody other than Ablett or Swan captain. It will backfire.
Stevie J has a higher average than Ablett so far this year? Stevie J playing at Skilled Stadium against a weaker team, which is his Dream Team bread and butter? Ablett playing against his old club who he's had a poor (by his standards) scoring record against in the past? None of that matters. The DT Gods are vengeful.

I have successfully picked a 130+ captain for the last four weeks in Gary x 3, plus SJ's 140odd last week, and VC'd Stants for his last 2x140+'s. I'm in a redhot vein of form for something at least
My GC boys play North this week at Metricon, we are red hot for a win after a great run over the last month. Gary should be LOCKED.

Normally I keep the captaincy locked on Ablett or Swan but I was tempted by Stevie J's good form and playing Gold Coast at home.
Did the same.
Also hearing Roo is out of todays game. Will be copping a donut if he is. Hurts even more when I could've had Roughead in my forwards and had Blicavs (94) as a starting ruck
