Projected to score well over 2300 and to beat my opponent in my cash league but about 300. Then I get Swan as my captain (although he was up against Pendles) who oinks it up like we know he can and I'm thinking I'm going to have a massive score here.

Then Saturday occurred. Having to bring in McKenzie to cover Ablett and he gets subbed. I thought to myself, I'd love an early injury so he can come on and score a decent amount.

Then there's an early injury in the Richmond-Kangas game and it's my D6 Brandon Ellis. Thanks for that 18 you're gone from my side now.

So I go in to Sunday still a decent amount ahead on projections and I should have a bit of a nervous day before coming home with a big game at the end.

So with just the Fremantle-Saints game and the Essendon-Port game to come I am one point down after Dean Terlich went big for another ton for his side. I should still have this in the bag as it's effectively Garrick Ibbotson, Jobe Watson and Kane Cornes up against Chris Mayne, Angus Monfries and Ollie Wines.

And then the big boofhead Justin Westhoff breaks Jobe's collarbone and I'm left with another score in the teens and absolutely no chance of winning as Mayne, Monfries and Wines score well over projections. What was supposed to be a 2350-odd with a 300-odd point win turns in to a score of 1959 and a 107 point loss.

Absolutely seething here. My luck this season is insanely bad. I've lost six times in my cash league and on five of those occasions (I know they're not the be all and end all but it's a good indicator) I was projected to win.

Regardless, the 147 extra points would have been extremely handy, especially in a week when I was forced to start Ben Kennedy

Vent at Stanton and everything he does pissing me off.

I had money on him to score under 101.5 points on the weekend because of the Cornes tag and how he has handled the tag lately. So out he comes and lays 6+ tackles in the first quarter which is completely unheard of for him. So I give up on the bet, no biggie, it happens.

Then he gets injured and goes off. I start to see hope for that bet and after seeing him come back on then have to go straight back off, I thought the money was mine.

Then he comes out after half time and some how off one leg gets to 120 odd. Add to that, I had Watson who of course cops the serious injury and Stanton probably would have been subbed if it wasn't for Watson already gone.

I figured Stanton would be unlikely for this week and may be out for a while which kind of evens up for me losing Watson. A lot of people that don't have Watson would have Stanton. But nooooo. Of course he is going to be ok and scans cleared him of any serious injury.

What a douche.
