I loved his celebration it was funny and probably more likely then not fired up the swans ;)

i have no problem with him celebrating

but you can't deny it was a little over the top, and this isn't the first over the top celebration from him

as he's a youngster it's fine

but the novelty of a youngster kicking goals, and celebrating as if he just hooked up with miranda kerr will quickly wear off

i'm just pointing out the obvious

Kicking a goal for the Swans is far more celebration-worthy than scoring with that scrawny chipmunk Kerr.

Go Vez, do a lap of honour after every goal, as long as the goals keep coming. That's the lad's style.

Craig Bird, on the other hand, has a far less flamboyant, modest style, as shown after his fabulous mark and goal in the last quarter on Sunday. Also, good on the lad.

Big deal. I find it pretty pathetic that there's a thread at all offering comments and opinions on Vez's celebrations.

I don't mind Veszpremi's celebrations, it spurs the crowd on. There's extroverts at every club and each club should exploit that.

If you're going to critisise Ves's celebrations, you may as well critisise Rhyce Shaw's. I loved that as well, as that kickstart our momentum. :)

Let the introverts do their thing by being modest and humble and let the extroverts do their thing, by bringing the crowds into it. :)

Spot on PB, but this thread was started for his footy not his celebrations. Cowman lighten up.

Thats why i started the thread, Pat. The big thing on Sunday was he wanted the footy and attacked the contest. Thats why i was so critical of McVeigh in his first 70 odd games in that he didn't attack it, but now has turned into a classy outside player who will be missed if he's out this week.

if hes reading this, his head will be as big as a giant pumpkin.

Haha good call Bez! I hope Vez doesn't change his style, love his enthusiasm and passion, it's just what we need... but I noticed he started showboating when he saw the 'Vesz-tastic' banner in the forward pocket after he kicked the goal (I was away on the weekend and was watching on TV) and I hope it didn't go to his head! He's still pretty young...

I think you can see that he's going to be a player who loves the crowd adulation. And if he doesn't get if from the sometimes staid Sydney crowds, he may welll decide he wants a move to a club like Collingwood where he'll get it in bucketloads, together with huge raucous crowds every weekend.

Dear god, please don't let me picture Veszpremi wearing black and white!! *shudder* :p

I think he'll be OK though, partly because he's started his career here and the relative anonymity of AFL players in Sydney protects the younger guys from the spotlight until they're mature enough to handle it.

I don't think he'll move. The Swans did a smart move, by drafting his good mate also from Bundoora Brett Meredith in the same draft. Also, Daniel Currie is from the same area I believe. I doubt, he'll leave his best mate to go home. ;)

What's wrong with you?

Vesz is very good second half.

I'm watching channel 7's footy show ATM and they just covered our match.Tim Watson said two things 1/ that Essendon should have won by a lot more and 2/Ves will be a good player down the track. The third comment was the send off to BBBlubberingBarry!

Wish we got the Sunday AFL up here in Sydney.

Vez is gonna be a beauty we all know that. He is already an important part of the forward line, they look like they want to get him the ball and he is often a target. Good mark too, i think he is better in contested situations than on the lead interestingly though. Can out body the smaller defenders but when he was on the lead he didnt seem to have his usual burst of speed...dunno could have been just me. May have been tired cause he seemed to be out there for long periods without breaks.

White coming back in the team next week will help Vez, doesnt have to be a big target. Can work off Mick and Jesse more.
