Pretty poor return really. To have only 2 full time VFL boys in the votes is a bit of indictment on the VFL playing list imo.

Yeah fair call, that said we were the last to the dinner bowl when it came time to signing VFL talent a couple years back. Hopefully they spend a little bit more, but they will struggle to get the better ones as they are already tied up with the long standing non aligned clubs

With Hovrat already there as a player in the VFL side for 20/20 let’s see if we can get some ex AFL players delisted in the last 2 years plus current VFL players that have played AFL like a Barlow from Werribee,a Lisle or a Templeton from Port or maybe Hibbard from Williamstown and with 1 of the following Ayres Williams or Collins to coach.
The biggest fear if loader stays on as coach that our VFL with become the Gold Coast of the VFL nothing short of embarrassment and within 3 years we won’t have a VFL side.
To the board get your act together sack loader now as if you don’t you will put this club back 5 years.
Sack Loader NOW if you have the guts to do so.

I actually think we done okay initially with the likes of Rippon, Close, Holmes and Jansen. Jordan Harper last year was a bit of a bust after dominating State league footy for 3/4 years. Losing Close hurt a bit too as we pretty much had no VFL standard key position players on the list this year.

We need to keep Hrovat, Rippon, Holmes and Jansen next year and add in a quality half back and a few key position players.

Definitely need a spare KPD or 2. At times this season the KPD were Whitecross and Murphy, and even CJ spent time as a defender, replicating Hibbo being played there last season.

Williamstown making a nice mess of * in the VFL prelim today. Hibberd has done some good things so far. Willy’s ruckman looks like a proper country footballer and has been super effective.

I'm admittedly biased, but Hibberd looks to have improved his body and game substantially with a bit of continuity, well done to him.

What do you expect go to club that has a very good coach in Collins not like Loader who I’m surprised that still is our VFL coach.
A good coach teachers players to play better that what we need.
Not another 3s Scott Simpleton Squad clone

Jack Trengove delisted by Port.

He would be an excellent recruit for the VFL side.

Those are the types we should be targeting imo.
