I wouldn't say "ridiculously cold" at Willy for night games, let's say bracing.
The lights at Point Gellibrand are top-notch. The Ammos have used the Willi oval for VAFAW, and the televised replays are of high quality.

Regarding the cold: you wouldn't need to dress any differently than you would for any night game during the winter.

The MCG is probably the coldest night venue around.

Happy that the league is trying out Saturday night games, I think it's far better than afternoon games which often clash with local and junior footy. Hopefully night footy can spark a little more interest in the VFL.

Not so happy with Port Melbourne getting the majority of games. I get that Channel 7can only do night games at games with adequate lighting and broadcast facilities, but Frankston have both and to my knowledge the lights haven't been used for broadcasts except for the AFLW. We get great crowds at night games, would be nice if we also got the vwst coverage for once as well.
I don't think it'll be Port getting more night games than anyone else. I believe clubs will give up a home game for broadcast game @ Port

Remains to be seen if it's worth it. From a Frankston perspective I wouldn't want us giving up a home game unless the TV exposure actually translates into more revenue than we'd earn playing at home. Having to play in the city will mean less fans in attendance, thus less revenue from entry fees, food and drink etc (and that's assuming we don't have to split that revenue with Port Melbourne due to playing on their ground.) I don't think it's worth it unless playing a TV game somehow makes up for that lost income.

It will be AFL clubs

Werribee star Jack Henderson could end up at Melbourne. Shane McAdam has a long term injury so that opens up a spot. Hendo is training with WCE.

But remember- it's the 2nd best league outside the AFL!

What an embarrassment.
Hopefully Carlton officials as I have no faith in my club officials to get North VFL vs Carlton VFL to be played at Marvel before the AFL game to give players at the VFL a chance to play before a big crowd plus it gives a chance to raise even more $$$ for the Kids Hospital which is what this day is all about.
But that’s right TWS -The Woke Scum EG.The AFL won’t allow it.

AFL Dogs declare they won't pick up either Crossley or Brew.

Think fitness for Crossley, he drifted out of the Essendon sim match on Saturday after a decent start. Brew had a fair hit out v Bombers but obviously didn't do enough.

Dogs AFL still have a vacant list spot, might keep an eye on both until the mid season draft.
