So do I. Essendon CC still hold tenancy over that period of time. They allow Essendon FC to play AFLW games in October for a sum of money. But they hold it from October to March inclusive.

And the reason Essendon get a home game over that time is due to the fact they can use The Hangar as an alternative venue until WH is theirs/able to be played on.
They didn't use it in October due to AFLW games
They are blessed though with the best curators around

Yes, because Essendon FC pay them money for use of the ground for the AFLW.

It's actually a very good standard.
It's dropped off. It used to be clearly the third best in Victoria (behind Shield and District 1sts) but now it's essentially a high level suburban league, similar to the EFL or VAFA premier grades. It's also completely beside the point. Those Cricket clubs have the lease until 31/03/26 and have full rights to play cricket until then.

They want these games played with less people as possible watching
But...why? It already costs money to run these matches. Considering that the Dingley facility has been built with spectator facilities, why not try to maximise crowd numbers and make a little back from entry fees and food/drink sales?

I've just been made aware of the article a few minutes ago and am still reading. Given that there are apparently multiple active investigations going on, I doubt I'll be saying anything else for now.

I've read the article. There isn't really much I can contribute beyond its contents because I haven't been aware of these problems, but needless to say I'm a little shaken and extremely concerned by what I've read. Hopefully the club will be organising a general meeting soon and offering some explanation to its members.

Thanks, nothing in it if you ask me
I'm waiting to see what these investigations dig up and how the club responds before deciding if there's nothing in it. I've had concerns about the revolving door of management for a while, so I'm not going to write it off as nothing. Especially given the police are also involved.

Right now the club needs to cooperate with these investigations, and provide whatever information to members that it can. I've been blindsided by yesterday's article and I know plenty of supporters will be.
