That the club might have been defrauded of a large sum of money is concerning as money doesnt grow on trees. I'm glad theyve got the police in to investigate and hopefully it can be returned. The workcover complaint about dealings with the public I don't know anything about but that is unlikely to be a game changer in the big picture. Just good timing along with the possible fraud for herald sun to make seem like a scandal.

What is more worrying long term is losing good people from the board and management etc. They dont grow on trees either so I hope the cause of this drain has also moved on and the club can settle because theyve been doing very well on the field and revenue has increased a lot in the past few years as well.

I'm waiting to see what these investigations dig up and how the club responds before deciding if there's nothing in it. I've had concerns about the revolving door of management for a while, so I'm not going to write it off as nothing. Especially given the police are also involved.

Right now the club needs to cooperate with these investigations, and provide whatever information to members that it can. I've been blindsided by yesterday's article and I know plenty of supporters will be.
Aussie Nick,

I feel for you and all of the Frankstom faithful.
Once this is over, and it will be, the Dolphins can only look to the future with a clean sheet.

The Frankston VFL club should be the local focus of football on the Mornington Peninsula.

The club, which should be filled with good local footballers, would be a magnet for ambitious Peninsula, homegrown aspiring footballers.

It should be ‘our boys’ against the rest.

The local football community will follow.

Smarten up, Frankston. Your club should be unstoppable.
