That the club might have been defrauded of a large sum of money is concerning as money doesnt grow on trees. I'm glad theyve got the police in to investigate and hopefully it can be returned. The workcover complaint about dealings with the public I don't know anything about but that is unlikely to be a game changer in the big picture. Just good timing along with the possible fraud for herald sun to make seem like a scandal.

What is more worrying long term is losing good people from the board and management etc. They dont grow on trees either so I hope the cause of this drain has also moved on and the club can settle because theyve been doing very well on the field and revenue has increased a lot in the past few years as well.

I'm waiting to see what these investigations dig up and how the club responds before deciding if there's nothing in it. I've had concerns about the revolving door of management for a while, so I'm not going to write it off as nothing. Especially given the police are also involved.

Right now the club needs to cooperate with these investigations, and provide whatever information to members that it can. I've been blindsided by yesterday's article and I know plenty of supporters will be.
Aussie Nick,

I feel for you and all of the Frankstom faithful.
Once this is over, and it will be, the Dolphins can only look to the future with a clean sheet.

The Frankston VFL club should be the local focus of football on the Mornington Peninsula.

The club, which should be filled with good local footballers, would be a magnet for ambitious Peninsula, homegrown aspiring footballers.

It should be ‘our boys’ against the rest.

The local football community will follow.

Smarten up, Frankston. Your club should be unstoppable.

Dyson Turner-Heppell has left the burra. Not really a story considering he joined the pies as a development coach in december.

No idea what made Port think he could still be able to play for them.

Any bullants people have any info on how Scerri is going with with SSP? Freo threads dont offer much info. Hope the kid makes it.

Frankston's AGM has been announced for the 26th of February. I know the club is going to be limited in what it can say while investigations are ongoing, but I imagine it'll be the main subject of discussion.

Freo fanpages on socials say he's going very well and has been amongst their most impressive on track. He's every chance you'd think

If it happens which it should, itd be a great story.
4 ants players drafted in their last 3 seasons as a club...yet wasnt enough for the AFL to consider giving them a chance to get themselves together. More than most other stand alones in that period of time, and half as good as werribee who could have 8 come the end of this ssp period.

People’s thoughts on an early premier improvers, and spoon.

Premiers - southport
Spoon - tassie
Improvers - Port 17th to finals in 2026

I'm really hoping that Coburg can back up last year with another good season. With Preston gone that pressure is going to turn on them if they slide back down the ladder.

Port wont be improve at all.
Their outs are better than their ins.

Heppell, Lazzaro, Kuol Mun, Hooper and Miller all big losses. Who have they replaced them with?

Good replacements but I do agree the exodus quality is greater than the incoming.and weve been unable to fill key positions. I can't see Port.getting close to winning the 10 games requires to make finals with the longest non finals absence for well over 50 years to continue.

I hope im wrong and i very well could be if the remaining spots are filled with quality players filling our weaker areas.

No money as well that's why the old GM left and the worry is that Jennie The Terminator Laughlan will go after Port like she did to Preston , can't be trusted

Why is that the case though, membership numbers and sponsorship are at a high. If theirs no money now whilst we have record membership ans sponsorship what are things going to look like when times are not so great ?Is the club over employing? I remember Barry would run it single-handedly. Your post worries me as it brings back thoughts of being told a few years ago that without the Rex we wouldn't survive- fast forwards 3,4 years and no Rex - where's the money going to come from? Is this the beginning of the end ?
