Why is that the case though, membership numbers and sponsorship are at a high. If theirs no money now whilst we have record membership ans sponsorship what are things going to look like when times are not so great ?Is the club over employing? I remember Barry would run it single-handedly. Your post worries me as it brings back thoughts of being told a few years ago that without the Rex we wouldn't survive- fast forwards 3,4 years and no Rex - where's the money going to come from? Is this the beginning of the end ?

Pretty happy with our fixture, although I can't comment much on the latter half of the season since the dates and times aren't out (that Saturday home game against Southport better not be the actual timeslot.)

We've got an interstate game against Gold Coast at the same time our women's teams are playing at home. Hopefully the club will stream the game at the clubrooms so that fans can watch both.

Not sure I'm too thrilled to be going to Queensland twice in the first 5 rounds, but we get the other stand alones at least once, so I'm happy about that.

Yes theve continued the recent trend of stand.alones focused on one another - they play half the stand alones sides twice which depends on.las.last years performance ie the stronger half play each other.twice and the weaker half play each other twice and also play the remaining stand alone sides once - therefore at least half the time stand alone sides and playing amongst one another

Thoughts on Ebinger going for cash at Deer bloody Park and not CYMS
That's right Bedders.

We were the club that brought him, and others through from the Willy Juniors and, as we do, pushed him upward, in his case to Willy VFL.

To my understanding, the Willy CYs have introduced many players to the VFL, mainly Willy, and those players then have us as their ‘drop-down’ club. Win-Win.

That's when the vulture club pounces, as it has done 3 or 4 times over the past 5 years.

CYs will continue to encourage our promising players to achieve higher rankings because the Club believes this is our duty to our players.
