Understand Bullants menbers last night voted to place the club into voluntary liquidation. Which means the club will officially be no longer as an entity.

Sad times. Hopefully the VAFA club get the ground permanently and can assume and service the PFC’s legacy, and the PFC people can find a footy home there.

Just saw the news. Devastated.

I agree that the VAFA club should become the new tenants of Preston City Oval (if they are willing.) I think part of Preston FC's push for the VAFA club to use the ground has been an attempt to present the VAFA club as a successor/continuation of the VFL club's legacy. I wouldn't be shocked if a lot of remaining supporters move to the VAFA club, especially if they become the main tenants of Preston City Oval.

My VAFA club has on and off been playing against them for a few years , the club is well run by good people and they have an outstanding canteen . The ground is not the best , so a move would be good
Geoff Walsh and Jennie the terminator Loughlan have blood on their hands

Yeah a move to PCO will be good for them.

They’ve recruited bloody well. Filled some key posts and added some genuine midfield depth. Early days but wouldn’t surprise me at all if they are top 4 next year.
It may take time, especially with a new coach at the helm but I'll back them to get back to their winning ways just like we knew it in 2023 and 2024.
They'll finish off the season strong after a slow start

It would be appropriate for Preston VFA/L to amalgamate with Preston VAFA, thereby preserving their history. I don’t doubt that all former VFA supporters and current Preston VFL supporters would embrace such a merger.

On top of my 5’10” white haired head, I can think of some former top-level clubs that are now part of the VAFA family, namely:

- Coburg (Girls only - so far)

- Brunswick, formerly NOBs (North Old Boys), playing at Gillan Oval. Not the Magpies, though.

- Fitzroy, formerly VFL, through a merger with Uni Reds.

- Prahran, through a merger with the former State and Comm Banks FCs.

AND, why not – makes sense. (and they wear the same guernsey too)

An official merger would saddle the VAFA club with the VFA/L club's debts. Pretty sure that's one reason they're not going that route. Looks like the idea/hope is for the VAFA club to be regarded as a sort of spiritual successor without legally merging the two entities.
