VFL/AFL Reserves & Under-19 Records?

I have just finished up importing the 1999 Reserves season to AustralianFootball...

All the scores are 100% accurate (as far as we know). However the times are approximate and the venues aren't 100% accurate.

We are mainly concerned for the venue accuracy over the start time accuracy, as this can have some effect on automatic records.

I know it's going to be very tough to get the venues 100% correct, but we would like to get them as close to 100% as we can.

So if anyone has a spare few minutes to have a look through the 1999 season it would be a great help, and if you do spot any mistakes/errors please post them.

We are hoping to begin the long but fun process of importing all the Reserves seasons starting in early 2017. We will likely go backwards starting with 1998 going back to 1919. We are aiming to have the entire Reserves done by the end of 2017

How much data do you have currently? Are all the 1919-1998 scorers complete, waiting to be imported?

They were never really published were they? Most newspapers of the time only had the space to print full time scores for reserves and thirds

(Speaking of thirds, is that on the cards as well?)

We have also managed to acquire some fixtures (which include venues and times) for the 1990s Reserves, they aren't complete but it's a start, and the 1999 and 1998 seasons already online have been updated with these new times and venues.

If we aren't certain of the venue AustralianFootball will list the ground as TBA.

This is what we are missing in terms of venues and times (all scores have already been sourced and stored)...

1999 - R1, R7
1998 - R2, R9
1997 - R1, R17, R19
1996 - R15
1995 - R3, R4, R15
1993 - R1, R2, R3, R11, R21, R22
1992 - All rounds
1991 - All rounds
1990 - All rounds
1989 - All rounds
1988 - All rounds
1987 - All rounds
Pre-1987 - Generally all Reserves games were played as a curtain raiser to the seniors??

So if anyone has any info on these rounds, please get it touch.

On a side note, has anyone been able to contact Ron Dekker of late? He has a database of Reserves and U19s records but we have not been able to contact him for almost three years now.

There will be no AFL Reserves seasons imported over the next few weeks. We are covering over 50 competitions during the 2017 season and have to import and check fixtures for these competitions. We will start on the 1970s Reserves as soon as this is completed.
 
Hi all. I was on here last year asking about U19 results and goalkickers. I am still piecing together stuff from 1971 and I am wondering if anyone knows any collectors of the football record from 1974-1977. These U19 results between these years were put into the football records as single games and not complete rounds. For example if round 5 had Geel v Haw then the round 4 results in the record would only list whoever Haw played and whoever Geel played. SO if you are following me I would need all 6 records for the round. I have managed to locate a lot of results/goalkickers but still require a few and collectors may be able to help. What I have done so far is contacted every club and historians they have past me onto. Viewed records online and the extra ones offsite at the state library. Contacted MCG. Gone to gardenvale collectables. EBAY (Helped with some). I have seen some on ebay that would possibly help but it would cost me a fortune. If I can't get hold of any collectors the only other chance may be through local papers such as the Geelong Addy. I have been able to put together all of Geel u19 goalkickers for this period. But I would not know any local papers outside of Geelong. Is there anyone with any ideas or know any record collectors.

Can you send me a list of what games you're still chasing. I have all of Melbourne's games from that era and a number of other teams in my spares.
