As I get ready to venture out and watch the Box Hill Mustangs (they'll never be the hawks for me 
) in the VFL, I was just thinking how much of an accepting society we are. By that I mean we have forgottern what it was like to have a curtain raiser and instead go in our droves to watch the ressie's play in the VFL. Sure it's another day of footy, a chance to meet and greet some of the Senior side who can be bothered turning up, and chance to be a goal umpire for 5 seconds while the camera is on you, but let's be honest - the standard is awful.
Gee we're good to the AFL - maybe in return they can lower the cost of food at games, improve the umpiring, help keep clubs afloat and small requests like that. Oh wait a minute I forgot, they'll do the opposite to that and we'll just accept it.
