Not really. Unless you can guarantee tens of thousands of video views, it would be hard to get a sponsor to commit enough money to make it worthwhile (I assume, I don't know how many views they would get). Maybe there woul dbe enough views, maybe it's more that unless it was enough money to hire someone to work over the weekends producing this content then it won't happen. I guarantee you they aren't sitting around going "**** I hope we don't have to do any VFL coverage, we think VFL sucks".

The 3 or 4 home game live streams we did in 2016, for example, were sponsored by BrainLink.

I like the sound of a VFL tax on membership fees. Add the $5 or $10 to our annual payment and it may be enough to cover this?

All the BS excuses the club gives is exactly that. BS.
There is no need for a tax.
They already video every game.
If the average Jo Blow can upload something on youtube then surely an organisation as big as Collingwood can.
Truth is they just don't give a f*ck.
Side by side when they are trying to earn more dollars but a big f*ck you when it comes to spending it.

A couple of years ago I sent a very appreciative email to the club for uploading the VFL games. Living overseas it was a great pleasure to be able to be afforded the opportunity to watch our emerging talent.
Interestingly the club responded very quickly to my email. Thanking me for my kind words.
I doubt the response would be as quick if I now sent them an email telling them that they now suck on this issue.

I am not even expecting live.
An upload of the game onto the club website or youtube during the week would be enough for me.

They do have all replays on youtube by round.

Yep. Could not give a Stuff and I guess no one has put there Hand up to do it.

How hard would it to be to put File on Computer and go to Youtube and Upload it for Replay?

Or Connect a Camera to Computer then just use Youtube to Stream it.

I can understand why they don't bother putting them up. Whilst quite a lot of posters on this board would watch, overall the number of hits that a VFL replay would get is pretty small. Having said that, it's another example of the AFL in general and Collingwood not doing enough to look after their hardcore fans. Even if they don't care about their hardcore fans, they should still look after them. If they lose the hardcore, they'll lost the theatre goers too, because without the passionate mob there is no theatrical event.

Let's go another way and seek out and sponsor a local university that can supply student's doing perhaps Media Studies And also other Students doing IT studies,And part of covering the Collingwood VFL games is part of there studies?
