VFL flags don't count.

Pffft, give it up, D.

We let you join our competition, and all our flags, in the competition you joined, count. Your 14 million little league SANFL flags don't count for shit.

Here's the situation. I can't stop you from posting 10 VFL/AFL flags and you can't stop me from posting 34 SANFL and 1 AFL flag … and around and around we go.

Unless you change your name from the Port Adelaide Football Club to the Port Adelaide Football Club, like we did from 1996 to 1997.

BTW for those who aren't aware here is the complete list of all senior premierships won by all the AFL clubs.

Port Adelaide - Total 35 - 5 SAFA, 4 SAFL, 25 SANFL, 1 AFL
Essendon - Total 20 - 4 VFA, 14 VFL, 2 AFL
Carlton - Total 18 - 2 VFA, 15 VFL, 1 AFL
Collingwood - Total 15 - 1 VFA, 13 VFL, 1 AFL
Geelong - Total 15 - 7 VFA, 6 VFL, 2 AFL
Melbourne - Total 12 - 12 VFL
Richmond - Total 12 - 2 VFA, 10 VFL
Nth Melb - Total 10 - 6 VFA, 2 VFL, 2 AFL
Hawthorn - Total 10 - 8 VFL, 2 AFL
Ftscry/Wstn Bdogs - Total 10 - 9 VFA, 1 VFL
Sydney/Sth Melb - Total 9 - 5 VFA, 3 VFL, 1 AFL
West Coast - Total 3 - 3 AFL
Brisbane Lions - Total 3 - 3 AFL
Adelaide - Total 2 - 2 AFL
St Kilda - Total 1 - 1 VFL
Fremantle - Total 0 - 0 AFL

I hope that clears it up.:thumbsu:

This table is actually wrong, but hey...

it says "The Port Adelaide Football Club is arguably the most successful senior football club, not only in South Australia but Australia-wide."

that's what it says, once again you fail miserably
Explain to me how 35 is more successful than 36?

This will be good....

Easy. Only two SANFL premierships have been won by a club called "The Port Adelaide Magpies Football Club" the other 34 flags they claim were actually won by a club called "The Port Adelaide Football Club" which is now playing in the AFL.

Happy to assist. :thumbsu:

This right here is why you will always be regarded as the flogs you are.

You think it is fine to take into account the 'shared history' when you want, but disregard it when it doesn't fit with your cockeyed slant on things.

Port Adelaide Magpies have 36 Senior Premierships, Port Adelaide Football Club has 35....

Port Adelaide Power the most successful footy club in Australia?? You w***ers aren't even the most successful club with the Port Adelaide name!!!

Nice edit w***er, but I am not an interstater, understand that.

So you also only want to claim shared history when it suits you?

Once again, just for you...

unfortunately this is basically true

however

the name of PORT ADELAIDE is the most successful footballing name in the country

at the end of the day, we as PORT ADELAIDE people can sit back on that

Actually the PAMFC claims a shared history; the PAFC claims its rightful history.

Here's the list of SAFA/SAFL/SANFL premiers.

Code:
Club Premierships
Port Adelaide 34
Norwood 27
Sturt 13
North Adelaide 13
South Adelaide 11
West Adelaide 8
Central Districts	8
West Torrens 4
Glenelg 4
Port Adelaide Magpies	2
Woodville-West Torrens	2
Adelaide 1

You'll notice the PAMFC only has two premierships. :thumbsu:

Mickey Mouse State league premierships don’t count as AFL premierships either champ.

All won in the best league in the state. You'll notice that I have included your two VFA flags.

Once again all won in the best league in the state.

The Gallipoli invasion commenced on the 25th of April, 1915. No Aussie troops left until Nov 1914.

You're ignorance is palpable. The Germans marched into Poland in September 1939 … at the same time Port were stomping all over Eagles

The Eagles have been in the SAFA/SAFL/SANFL since 1897. Centrals joined in 1964. Shall we exclude Carlton's 1994 AFL premiership won before Port joined the AFL?

Thank you for allowing me to expose your ignorance. Then again most Carlton fans think it is a good idea to pay your players' salaries in brown paper bags. Speaking of which I have also collated AFL wooden spoons.

Total AFL Wooden Spoons

Carlton - Total 3
Melbourne - Total 3
Brisbane Bears - Total 2
Fitzroy - Total 2
Richmond - Total 2
Sydney - Total 2
Brisbane Lions - Total 1
Collingwood - Total 1
Fremantle - Total 1
Hawthorn - Total 1
St Kilda - Total 1
Western Bulldogs - Total 1

Happy to educate the ignorant anytime. :thumbsu:

:eek:Carlton 1994 Premiers?? I think you'll find they won it in 1995.....1994 WCE defeated Geelong.

Happy to educate the ignorant too!!

Oh and once more for the record.....VFL flags = AFL flags as it's the one continuous competition. Just as the LA Lakers 1948 title won in the BAA counts as an NBA title as the BAA became the NBA.

Why sports fans all over the world can grasp this concept, yet certain (not all) Port fans just don't get it?

So it's only 15 years ago when you won your one and only AFL flag, it seems like 16.

Well if you're going to claim flags won in the SAFA, STFU or the SANFL I'll lay claim to Carlton's 1869, 1871, 1873, 1874 and 1875 senior flags won in the best competition at the time, the Challenge Cup.

All legitimate premiership victories according to this table.

The Challenge Cup is just that, a cup. It was not a structured premiership as such. However to keep you happy.

Total Senior Premierships and Challenge Cups Won by all the AFL clubs

Port Adelaide - Total 35 - 5 SAFA, 4 SAFL, 25 SANFL, 1 AFL
Carlton - Total 23 – 5 Challenge Cups, 2 VFA, 15 VFL, 1 AFL
Essendon - Total 20 - 4 VFA, 14 VFL, 2 AFL

Geelong - Total 16 - 1 Challenge Cups, 7 VFA, 6 VFL, 2 AFL
Collingwood - Total 15 - 1 VFA, 13 VFL, 1 AFL
Richmond - Total 12 - 2 VFA, 10 VFL

Ftscry/Wstn Bdogs - Total 10 - 9 VFA, 1 VFL

The PAMFC has won 36 SANFL flags. This is 100% official as confirmed by both the PAMFC club and the SANFL; official PAMFC and SANFL records also list Fos Williams as the PAMFC 1950 B&F winner.

It seems your viewpoints depend entirely on being oblivious to the records of every league you've ever laid claim to playing in. Once again, the duality of your club is frightening when compared to the 100+ year history of the AFL.

just wondering why sydneys get mixed with south melbournes, but brisbanes dont get mixed with fitzroys, (which i guess makes your list incomplete..) or if you dont want to mix them, where in fact is fitzroy at all??

Because we relocated and didn't merge with anything. The Brisbane Lions started in 1997 and has only 3 premierships. If they have to include anything Fitzroy have won, they would have to include everything the Brisbane Bears have won, thankfully though, the Bears didn't win anything.

As far as I'm concerned, relocation = one club, one history, merger = 2 clubs = new history. If you know what I mean.

But Port Adelaide supporters claiming 35 premierships is absurd though. Those 34 premierships were won in the SANFL not the VFL.

The official AFL records for Brisbane commence in 1987. So basically the AFL has discarded Fitzroy altogether and just gone with the Bears/Lions stats.

Ludicrous. Combined they'd have 11 flags.

I think you'll find that they've discarded everything about the Bears history as well. If they haven't, then that's totally wrong, in my opinion.

so by his own logic the 2 port adelaide clubs are seperate clubs so seperate history?

and there is still no fitzroy on his list..

You keep posting these tables, with various different totals.

You seem to think people actually care what you think.

I have news for you.

In spite of what you wish was true, and in spite of what you say, it's not actually zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

so by his own logic the 2 port adelaide clubs are seperate clubs so seperate history?

Don't worry bro, I'm as baffled as you are, when it comes to the Power supporters, claiming 35 premierships. But, it's a great laugh reading them though. All you need now is some Benny Hill music and you'll have Port Adelaide supporters to a tee. :p

No, Bears history still counts. W/L ratios for example go back to 1987, not 1997.

The merger was little more than Brisbane getting a better mascot and a few good players. Joke.

That's stupid that they've included the Bears history but not Fitzroy's history. I do not see the logic in the AFL's decision in doing this. I agree, it's a joke.
