It will be Walla then.

If they were not going to use him as a sub then he should get a full VFL game for fitness

Essendon 3.3 Hawks 2.2 1/4 time
Bryan very good
Baldwin looking decent at FB
Hobbs doing some good things
Snelling playing half forward. Would like to see him a bit more involved
Hind doing what he does from Half back
Voss 1 goal
VFL tall forwards very raw
Umps a bit quick draw on the 50m penalties
Stringer doing some work on the other oval with J Davey and Reid. Reid moving well .

Early start mate!

Please keep the updates coming…especially re Voss.

Half time
Essendon 4.4 Hawks 6.4
Voss 2 goals but limited touches. His usual physical self but has been in too many pack situations and not enough lead up stuff
Hind good from half back but a few of the usual Hind moments
Snelling better that quarter. Still playing half forward
Baldwin uses the footy well out of the bal half
Wind has dropped a bit
Not sure what bloody boots our guys are wearing but we are falling over all over the place and they are not
Despite the negatives it looks a better VFL lineup compared to this time last year

I read that as Voss dominant with 2 goals….must be selected next week.

Baldwin is a seriously good user of the footy.
He looks like he has plenty to offer as a defender.
Who does he play on at AFL would be my question?

Concern would be that at AFL level he can’t play on gorillas and can’t play on really mobile third falls.

Played on the resting ruck and tallest forwards today. He is a decent size unit. Was able to use his body well .
He could certainly play on the gorillas from what I saw today.
His leap was pretty good as well.
He looks much better than where he was last year.
