So wrong about Arryn

Skill level ain't his problem .... I'd say he is almost the cleanest player on the list... With Billings

Being in between size, slow and lacking aebobic endurance is his issue.

FINAL SCORES
Frankston 9. 7. 61
Sandringham 21. 10. 136

Disposals: Curren 31, Jones 31, Ray 28
Goals: Saad 4, Membrey 3, Zijai 3, Brown 2, Lee 2, Acres 2, Minchington 2, Ong, Curren, Holmes
Best: Acres Holmes Minchington Saad Jones Curren

Thought Cockie was very very good myself

Was a normal day for Cockie

He would need to get 15 clearances to get in the best these days

He suffers from expectation

He is hands down the best VFL player
Including the AFL listed regulars

Can't remember Arryn fumbling too much... And I watch him closer than any other player on the list.

For a player of his size, he has great hands
Air and deck

Richo said last week in one of his many interviews that if we had more money the thing he he would most like us having is our own VFL/Reserves team. Said it was vital to our development. Said the playing of our guys sometimes in the Dev team was not ideal. Is it next year we get our own team? Or year after?

Noticed Richo had a lot more input to individual players at the breaks spoke at length to White , Acres
Interesting to notice Paddy up close today definitely seems taller , really infectious person around his teammates too.
Lee looks a lot better down back & Membrey is player works both ways never stopped

Another great performance by Tommy Curren as an inside ball winner.

Get ready to play him as a small forward at AFL. And Lukey Dunstan as a ball winner who needs a break.

From what I can gather, Saunders was dropped to the Development Squad due to an indiscretion. Payne, Goddard and McCartin all rested. White and Pierce played seniors due to Templeton and Shenton being called up yesterday.

The 15-8 rule has been in for a couple of years now. Causes issues when St Kilda don't have a lot of injuries as was the case this week.

But full credit to Saunders for his attitude today...no dummy spits..just got on with the job he had to do

Do you know if Saunders will be receiving any other club imposed sanctions? Or is it just this week?

Really happy that Acres doing that well. Imagine a 2nd year player being the BOG every week!

I hate saying negative things about anyone who has pulled on a Saints jumper but Sippo just not good enough, fumbly hands and bad decision maker
I remember his first game for us, against Carlton, it's been a fair while since then, but oh boy, did he show some promise. Had a really good game that night.

He's been really unlucky with injuries and that has brought him down, has gotten no continuity in his AFL career. Very unfortunate. Pretty sure he will get delisted after this season.

this is good to hear. i'm hoping richo really takes on white as a project, similar to how he took on armo when he came to the club

if he can get him right he could be anything for us

I feel bad for saying this, but I reckon we messed with Arryn a bit.

He had an ego, self belief, strut and it was squashed out of him.

That's old school?

Look at guys like Wingard, Elliott...ego isn't a dirty word anymore.

Got a bargin with him, was touted as top 5 pick mid year I'm pretty sure

I remember Knightmare had him at 4 in his power rankings in the 2013 phantom, which he rates as potential superstars and Billings around 7 from memory he had Bontempelli at 10. I think he had Martin from GCS as 1 and Jesse Hogan was pretty high.

He would've 100% been higher, he got injured half way through the draft

I think the knock was he was only rated on a small piece of form and past glory rather than a definite form line. He started last year in a moon boot and never really got going either. I want to keep a lid on my expectations as he seems like a long term player so don't want to pressure him. I met him preseason last year and he was a really quiet shy kid. We met him again recently and he looks a bit more confident this year but he is still a bit of a quiet kid. He is someone I think will do better with out too much spotlight.
