Ants much better that Qtr.
Waite work into the game and moved well.
Dare gets plenty of it but his disposal is letting him down.
Johnson playing well.
Levi is presenting well,he's a massive body and can see plenty of upside with this kid.
Wiggins is going ok.
Davies likes to provide run and link but as previously said needs to play a bit tighter.
Jacobs is dominating the hitouts, and working hard around the ground.
Thorton being played forward, looks a bit lost.
Grigg going ok,would like to see him lift his work rate.

Waite play well enough to suggest that he can come back next week?

After seeing White's game, would be leaving Thornton at the Ants for at least another week.

Levi is presenting well,he's a massive body and can see plenty of upside with this kid.
Caspar showed some good footy know how after he took a good contested mark against two/three opponents (lace out pass from Kerr I think) and fired off a quick handpass for a goal assist/goal.

Has some upside if he can get super fit.

Another week in the magoos wouldnt hurt either of them but we need Waite back in defence for the blues this week and I would love to see him there.

T-bird definitely seems to be going backwards.

How many marks did sauce take because thats the one area really that I am not happy with about knockers. He gets into good positions, but spills the marks and turns it over.

In the bits that I saw, Thornton just didn't look interested. I hope his dummy spitting ways don't extend to being dropped. I guess he was being played out of position, but could have shown a little more endeavour for mine.

Jacobs definitely seems to have more of a presence around the ground than Warnock. Will be interesting to see how long they take to acknowledge it and give him a chance to show it in the seniors.

Loved the look of Touhy. fearless, determined and a great kick! Can only be a matter of time you'd think.

You are spot on TG.
He will definitely have to work on his fitness,103kgs at 18yo.

if he can drop 10kg in body fat and replace it with muscle... There is our CHF :D

Another mention in the bests for Johnson.

Dare I say it, but does he get a look in?

Watched the 2nd and 3rd quarters of this game and didn't see anything to suggest a recall for Johnson. He kicked well when not under pressure and got alot of possessions but didn't win much of his own ball. Also when in the seniors his kicking and composure falters. The main plus from this game for mine was Waite and Jacobs. Waite looked to be getting confidence and composure back and Jacobs looks like he is becoming a class act with his tap work and his around the ground decision making. Thornton looked very jaded and would in my opinion have at least one more week with the Bullants. Would bring Waite straight back in. Jacobs will have to wait given how Warnock played in Adelaide. However if the match committee ever decide to use Kruz as a set forward then we could do worse than Jacobs and Warnock as our ruck combination. Also thought the Irishman whose name I cannot spell looked pretty good in patches. Very strong and direct. Also kicks pretty well and seems to not get flustered when he has the ball.

Disappointing that neither Waite or Thornton could get into the best players today. Makes for an interesting match committee meeting(s) this week.
I viewed the 2nd and 3rd quarters and Waite did enough just in this time to be in the best. Looked a class above the rest imo.

Windy conditions and the ground is in terrible touch.

Agree re. the ground condition but having the grounds in a playable state has been a major issue around the Ballarat region for a number of years due to drought. The only major ground in Ballarat that consistantly been in decent order has been Eastern Oval and even then it has suffered through heavy usage.

Levi is presenting well,he's a massive body and can see plenty of upside with this kid.
Wiggins is going ok.

Agree with Levi. :thumbsu: He's still a fair way off from the AFL but with plenty of potential and plenty of scope to improve he could yet prove to a very handy pick-up.

I can still see a role for Wiggins in the Carlton side. He's no superstar but can be good as a lead up link player off half forward. I would rather have Wiggo play that Role for the Blues than Handerson and get Lachie playing closer to goal.

That's crap.
Waite was one of our better players overall. Thornton? Not so much :o

I really like what I see of the Irish kid. Has a real F..k you attitude. :thumbsu:

Dishwater has some aggression in his game. :thumbsu:

Aerosmith is too slow.

Thornton surprisingly started up forward for the Bullants, before collecting 17 disposals in defence, while Waite found his way in the second half, amassing 20 disposals.

"He [Thornton] played better down back and got his hand on the ball as a key defender. 'Waitey' played forward, back and on a wing. I thought he tried all day and got his hands on it. I was happy with the way he approached the game and went about it," Teague said.

Carlton big man Sam Jacobs was also impressive in the ruck for the Bullants.

Good to see Zach is handling the physical side of things.
I guess the key thing now is to give him time to learn the ins and outs of the game and keep your fingers crossed he doesn't pick up an injury which disrupts his development.
