VFL Rd 6 - Casey Vs Box Hill

3.5 Casey to 3.1 despite domnance around the ground and with inside 50's.

Hughes 1.3 in the first ten minutes, Bell got one too. Jamar killing it in the ruck.

Terrible mobile internet coverage here!

P.S - enjoying the 3SER call. Especially the uncensored work by the Box Hill coach.

A baffling piece of umpiring in the first quarter too. Somehow a 50 that should have gone to the goal line got reversed into a Casey free.

6.8 to 6.5 at half time. Unbelievable score given Casey's dominance, and the fact that Box Hill have been absolutely rorted by the umpires.

Delivery inside 50 has been shocking. Not giving the forwards much chance. Watts had to go on the ball to get a touch but when he did he looked good. No real standouts for us except for Jamar, but they've all been ok. McNamara looked great early on but didn't have a great 2nd.

Jetta has been in everything for hit and miss results and Newton hasn't gone near it much but has been decked twice. Bell and Buckley ordinary, Bail looking good for the future.

8.11 to 7.8 at 3QT. Stalemate for most of the quarter. Newton got his 2nd. McNamara and McKenzie look promising. Bloke from Casey called McGough who I'm enjoying. Silvagni not bad in defence either. I'm sure Strauss is out there but he's not doing much.

Going behind our goal in the last for a better look at the forward line in the last.

Box Hill running away with it in the last. The worst umpiring performance in history this. Would love to see the total frees, they've paid anything even resembling a free. If this was the AFL you would never hear the end of it.

Shocking delivery to the forward line?

Yep, sounds like Melbourne players.

How's Buckley been. You said ordinary? We desperately need some more midfield pace.

Good to see a strong Healey performance. Disappointing for Watts though but it shouldn't matter too much.

Good Bell form I see. Maybe in for Dunn if Rivers doesn't come in instead?

Bell could be a decent match-up for Williams, however Bailey might decide they need McNamara's height.

If one of Warnock, Martin or Johnson goes down, we're in strife.

Bell BOG for us my arse. And Hughes didn't doing anything in the 2nd half. After lighting up the first ten minutes he laid off a couple of handballs in the second, missed shots in the last and did bugger all else.

If they're going to claim Renouf as the Hawks second best then Jamar was our best by a million miles.

I do agree McNamara was good though.

Green should come in for Dunn, but Bennell has been told he would be rested one week then come back into the side and Rivers has to come back as well

Interesting seeing skill level on display today, considering near perfect conditions. Some of the guys you would hope to be near ready for selection, their disposal & disposal left alot to be desired. namely Bell & Buckley. mind you their desire was great. Jamar really put in & took marks around the ground & disposal was good to. Hughes could be the next one given a go, although pretty sure he is on rookie list. similar position as Bate. McKenzie has a real go, but not sure where you would put him. What I couldn't work out was why Spencer played in the 2's? His 1st half was so so, but into game well as it progressed.

Overall I would recommend everyone who can to get down & see them play. most of the seniors are there, so if you have kids, bring them as the players watching were great with the kids today.
