I have doubts about DeMattia making it.
He doesn’t have any of that high end IQ “to step” and create space via hand or foot for himself or a teammate.
No real breakaway speed and just dumps or hack kicks.

Mitchell…there’s some tough calls awaiting come end of season.
He may be lucky to get another year but at this rate he’s operating as a depth player period.

Roan Steele….I wonder what role or what they see in him because he looks rather vanilla to me at the moment …but then again Long was similar and his strengths have shown in time so let’s see how this goes

A fit Mitchell is best 23.

He's been missing for a long time Grannie.
In need of match fitness now.
Easily in our best side.
I can see you love him but if he's likely to be delisted this year, what's the point of bringing him back into the side when our younger players are getting experienced and fitting seamlessly into the team.
I think his time has passed.

I love him because he's a champion of the game.
Some of you want him retired too early.
Gun player. Only Brownlow medallist in our side.
2023 would not be a premiership team without him.

When you consider the players still to return like shoota and JDG, I doubt Mitchell will get back in. We would need a few injuries for him to be considered

Bro, you're getting excited, his best just isn't good enough anymore. It's going to be a wait and see I'm afraid

The brownlow is from 7 years ago, that's a long time in a footballer's life.
I'm not sure you can say the 2023 premiership wouldn't have happened without him.
Who knows what his replacement could have done.
I get what you mean though.

Premiership was only 2 years ago. We would not have won it without him.
Sidey and Pendles older. A couple of others as well.

Mitchell is a fitness freak. He'll be back

And you know this how brother?
He deserves to show us once again of how talented he is. One of us is going to be wrong.
The question is who will he replace?. It will depend on injuries and if we are at full strength, who are you replacing him with. It's not a question of who is right or wrong but you would be the only one who sees a spot in the side for him. Write down our best 23 and tell us who he's replacing. Injuries are the only reason he gets in

Once he's in. He will stay in. Perhaps Sullivan misses out. Always an injury or two as well. Dunno. All I know is Mitchell is seriously good.

Then you're agreeing with me. I clearly said it will depend on injuries. I also said he would play if we had injuries. You are saying he plays even if we're at full strength.

True. At full strength, I believe Tom is best 23. 🍻 even without injuries. Fly will play him.

If I'm wrong I will be the first to admit this.
