Look, I'll put up a possible team but we're gonna get ****ed on here, Southport are one of the favourites for the flag for a reason.

FB: Martin Gleeson - Brandon Zerk-Thatcher - Josh Eyre
HB: Brady Rowles - Cody Brand - Charlie Byrne
MF: David Zaharakis - Dylan Clarke - Kyle Dunkley
HF: Ned Cahill - Sam Paea - Lachlan Johnson
FF: Devon Smith - Sam McLarty - Tom Hird
OB: Nick Bryan - Dylan Shiel - Joe Atley
IC: Kobe Brown - Josh Smithson - Jake Sutton - Nick O'Kearney

Honestly we'll be lucky to get within 10 goals IMO, look forward to Shiel hopefully playing well

Suspect both teams will get a few players from Sydney to make it up to 18. I've inserted Sydney reserves players into spots for us:

FB: Cody Brand - Brandon Zerk-Thatcher - Malachy Carutthers
HB: Will Gould - Josh Eyre - Matthew Ling
MF: David Zaharakis - Lewis Taylor - Sam Gray
HF: Devon Smith - Cian McBride - Tom Hird
FF: Ned Cahill - Hayden McLean - Lachlan Johnson
OB: Nick Bryan - Dylan Clarke - Ryan Clarke

Obviously the ones in italics are their players. Seems like they have a similar lack of midfield depth to us.
Hard to see Rowbottom breaking into their AFL side, so you may be able to add him.

Have no idea but have the VFL players made it up there as well ?
I don't know, I was guessing. It could be possible that we're sourcing guys who are playing QAFL this week.

Guessing we’ll get top up players, like suns swans etc had in Melbourne.
Do you know any former AFL players or even former VFL players in the QAFL this year?

So our top ups with State League level experience are Rance, McCartin, Christian Burgess (3 games for Coburg in 2017), Reed van Huisstede (2 VFL games for Sydney this year, 5 in the NEAFL in 2019), Roseby (3 for Sydney this year). Crossley and the Gilmore's are oddly part of the Southport squad.

I think McCartin will play forward with Eyre, despite being named in the back pocket
