Yoda_ what is this ground like to watch at?

Genuine old school ground to watch at.

Wonderful atmosphere for the old Frankstonians. Feel it will be a tad dull without the beats of the jungle drum and the local bogans supporting the Dolphins.

Overall. Not a bad place. Can feel a tad enclosed but its a wonderful ground itself.

It is a beautiful old style grandstand as well. Since burning down a few years ago, it has been rebuilt in the original style. Not only does it look great, but it is a perfect place to watch from, being only about 5m back from the fence, with just enough elevation to see over the ground, making it neither too far away nor too high up.

A few cliff notes from the first quarter -

- Bellchambers having a real physical impact. Playing some sort of enforcer role. Is chasing hard as well

- Morgans defensive work continues to improve. Playing a close checking game.

- Merrett's intercept work has been tidy.

- Long has had 3 kicks, all straight to the opposition.

Morgan has been impressive. Hasn't been beaten one on one and a few nice spoils.
Mutch going alright.
Goals to Peter's and Smack
Ess 4.5
Port 1.3
Essendon right on top in last 10 of the quarter.

There is absolutely no real why someone like James Ferry isn't at least on a rookie list somewhere.

Nothing really worthy of mentioning in that quarter tbh. Mutch kicked a nice crumbing goal. Game is effectively being played in the one half due to the massive wind advantage.

We would have been 6 goals down at HF without him. Port kicked 4 goals in first 10 mins of that qtr.

A Mutch needed goal from Kobe just before half time, crumbed off the pack saw scores

5.7
6.8

Pissing down rain now so might become a slog. Ess with the wind in 3rd.

Sounds like some great conditions for watching footy:)

Anything on Redman, Begley and Clarke?

Nothing really, all drifting in and out of the game.

Port Melbourne playing the conditions so much better.
