The best news this season
So now we potentially have a tall, agile, good kick, great leap, strong hands defender
Like I said, the best news of the year

Better news than Steene, Hayes and Anderson looking promising at the top level?

Why wouldn't you just think that Noah added to Will, Angus, Oscar that things are really looking up.
It's not an either or situation.
Let's hope that Noah keeps it up and gets a new contract offer.
I’m allowed to be really happy that we may have found the KPD we are searching for

Do you think I’m not also really happy about those players? Do you think bc I think it’s the best news so far that i don’t like anything else?

I’m allowed to have an opinion and not really sure my comment was worthy of being quoted

I asked a question which you just answered in detail.
So thanks for that.

Give me Jiath over Ryan any day. He's a smooth mover and seems to be filling out into a solid frame. I have hope!
They're both equally smooth players.... watch their effort here....

1:42:05 - what on earth are these two doing here? Jiath spoils and goes to ground. Ryan comes in to support and basically hugs the Box Hill player rather than tackles, and Jiath falls into line behind Ryan with no intention to get between the player and the goal. WTF!!??

1:47:18 watch Ryan and Howes allow a player run between them and goal. Again, Ryan with no idea. Surely, you know where the player is headed and you bloody stay goalside!?

Very encouraging to see Allan dominating at this level, signs of hope.

Howes is a revelation down back
A better game, but still the same sloppy mistakes.

Would like to see him direct the ball better when handballing and kicking to teammates. He is too sloppy/casual with his disposal. Defensively he is still very poor. For example, click the following link and watch him make a half hearted effort to prevent the opposition player from getting the ball. What's his excuse here? Just don't feel like defending, someone else can do it?

Press play at 1minute and 45seconds into the 4th qtr or 1:33:25 into the video.

Soon after that 1:33:54 , the poor handball to Taj Woewodin, where he has to jump and almost lands behind him which you CANNOT do at AFL level as it results in opposition goals. 1:46:44 another high hadball, forcing Swadling to jump to have to 'mark' it. Again, you can't be this sloppy at AFL level.

1:36:00 - boundary throw in, blind freddy could see the Box Hill Ruckman was going to gain posession, and Allan just leaves his opponent unattended to receive a handball. Seems like he is not present mentally in the game.

When he has space to run he can be damaging. Problem is he's not improving the basics which unfortunately for him (and us supporters), won't bode well for him at AFL level where there's limited time and space.

It’s the VFL.

Great game from Allan , those two goals, high possession numbers, pushing others around in the clearances (that surprised me), good clearance numbers, he is coming on and if he does make it, huge upside. If he keeps improving and remains an almost AFL player (as long as there is improvement - a few good games), he is worth persisting with.

Where has the 5 kick a game, unlikely CHF turned CHB, Howes come from. Incredible couple of games, who knows what the potential is. I never thought he would be a high possession back, or am I imaging things.

Swaddling looks the goods, has decision making issues to work on (hence why I think they are giving him kick out duties). He is often centimeters off because biting off too much. Actually has a nice touch on his kicks once he picks out the right targets will become a weapon.

Smitt looks a long way off, but seeing how Steene has come on, will keep my comments to myself.
Don’t have much hope for JT, Ryan.
Good to see Bobby gaining fitness, Sax looking surprisingly good (slight small forward - thought he would take a lot longer to acclimatize).
