Looking forward to seeing how he goes. He's what you want in a half forward. Strong. Powerful. Knows the goals. Was really unlucky not to get drafted.

He's been injured for the last month at least. I chatted to when a week or so before the state game and he was dealing with archilles tendonitis. Havent seen him on the track since. Must have had a setback

Brought back some memories

Victoria Park is a bit bitter sweet for me. In 1990 I went to the celebrations and got really drunk, we slept at the ground but I got taken to hospital because I had drunk more than my stomach could handle. I haven't been able to drink since but it was worth all the pain

With their senior team playing at the same time they are likely to take 1 or 2 of Dolan, Duryea and Hynes to Ballarat, at least.

Plus, none of our 3 AFL emergencies named, so you'd think 2 would play, yeah?

You’ll love it.

A lot has changed since 2003, mainly funded by the City of Yarra (Vic Park is on Council owned land) with some federal government funding. CFC put some money into the old Social Club building, and was for a while using it as offices for the club’s philanthropic and community arms. Not sure if that is still the case.

But if our VFL team is up and about, the crowd follow suit. Great fun.

P.S. the old toilets still stink.
