There are just so many things that prindable has to work on. Aside from few good kicks here or there, there is nothing about him that stands out at all.

I see a few small things here and there. Really good vision with that handball just then.
Some players just take a little more time. Let's give him a season or 2 before writing him off

Look I am definitely not writing him off, but there are a lot of deficiencies in his game, pretty much in every aspect.

Can anyone shed light on why hayes didn't play?

I know he was the carryover player, but he is looking at missing out on all forms of competitive play this weekend.

West, Swadling, Saxena, Howes put in games that I thought showed good development and some AFL characteristics.

The rest...maybe Ryan at times?

We really struggle in so many areas. Having three players who are essentially not up to this level yet is a handbrake on our team that we can't afford from a performance standpoint (Smit, Prindable, McCarthy).

Those who have been floating the idea of Phillips as a Mid Season draft pick, please , just NO
If Herbert from Cats is there at our pick Mr O’Bree will yell his name so quick you won’t believe it

Didn’t expect a win but disappointing result. Don’t give much of a yelp after halftime.

Absolutely dominated in clearances and between the arcs on transition. VFL team struggle to defend the wing.

Positives:
West, saxena, Howes, swaddling

Nobody really stood out. West def took what little chances he had.

He’s a worry big time
I don’t see how he will make a career when he is good at nothing really but jogging

Unfair to lump McCarthy with them. He needs time to physically develop and muscle to his size. He is 200cm, he will need about 2 years to add the muscle required inorder to be competitive against the power defenders.

Prindable is the bigger concern, but as few other have alluded, we have to give him time.

We seemed to have done well from last years draft. Already got one debutant. We could potentially get another 2 in swadling and saxena before the year is out.

It seems like we have seriously improved our ability to identify/draft/develop talent.

Our youth pipeline will get better in years to come.

Until then, we just have to flush out the remanents from previous drafting years.

Correct me if I am wrong, but it looks like HH and Bobby Hill are a very long way from being ready to play in the seniors again.
