2nds VFL Semi final Casey vs Williamstown

Impressions of the Demons thus far:

Gys: In most things. Gets his hands on it a lot but doesn't hurt the opposition with his disposal.
Couch: Good VFL player. No AFL tools and no future at that level.
Cook: Lumbering player who hasn't used it well at all today. Can take a mark but limited footballer.
Davis: Okay in the air and tries to rebound, but has made too many horrendous skill errors today. Poor man's Tom McDonald.
Sheahan: Looks good. Has things to work on but I see him as a versatile KPP who can carry the footy and make good decisions.
Tynan: A real goer. Courageous. Can find it on the ground and also take a mark. Will be hard to match up on in years to come.

Was reported on the ABC coverage at half time that Neeld was furious at the Herald Sun suggestions earlier in the week that Cook and Gysberts had been told their careers were over at MFC. He categorically said that the rumours were untrue.

Fair question though, that ground is the equivalent of playing in a wind tunnel.

This is my point.

North Ballarat can have it's shitful windy and wet days but the wind blows straight down the ground.

Casey is like playing inside a tornado. It's hardly conducive to skill development in young players.,

A couple of harsh comments on Cook - he was drafted for the all round package he was for a tall; 'elite' footskills on either side of his body and and 'elite' decision maker .... who said this you ask?

The one and only Barry Prendergast!!!! :p

But seriously, Cooks had a very average year - with a couple of highlights here and there.

Needs to get a lot fitter and a lot stronger.
