We need another way to score. The current strategy of lumping it forward and getting it out of bounds and letting Hawkins manhandle a ruck and score from stoppage is great, but as happened with Nankervis in Grand Final, if Hawk is contained it is hard to score.

Can’t wait to get Esava back but let’s see if Krueger can pluck a contested mark forward, or Henry if they want Krueger back.

Jarvis is more of same I reckon.

Kreuger didn't feature in the best players in the first practice match, then got 3rd best as a rebounding KPD in the second, and now we want to bring him into the side to play forward on debut? Can you people honestly not see what's wrong with that?

So he plays foward for two years (was very close to sélection a couple of times but got injured at crucial times) is sent to the backline this year because we have Cameron, Sav, Rohan and Hawkins vying for marking foward spots and somehow you think he can’t play down forward anymore cos of two practise games in defence.

And I’ll point out that before round one we only had Hawkins and Rohan as forwards yet he still trained and played the practice matches as a key back.
He is not a forward, Geelong know this other wise you would’ve already got your wish and he would’ve made his debut.
Don’t know when he was pushing for a senior game but no point trying to say he wasn’t because you just wouldn’t agree.
So we can just agree to disagree and I’ll point out I don’t think he will ever play a game of AFL footy

He did kick 6 once, and then in his remaining 13 games that year he kicked a combined total of 7 goals

Krueger played in defence in his first year also, or at least he'd want to have been at he went goalless in 8 of his 14 VFL matches - so that alone doesn't really act as a ringing endorsement for his inclusion as a forward

And not sure how many scratch matches he actually played last year - he had a delayed start to the season due a knee injury over the preseason, and he then made an early return to Vic from the Gold Coast after battling knee soreness up there

Carlton received pick No.43 from Geelong in exchange for its access to SANFL forward Nathan Kreuger (pre-listed state-league player).

Close was quite slow for a small foward. Had zero x factor. Too small. He won’t make it. Don’t confuse endeavour with talent.

I’m with you. Not sure why there is such a push for close. I thought he showed next to nothing in his games last year, and that was in a team that was firing on all cylinders.

And can play.

Some form related issues, injury issues and bad timing issues.

Comes to the club with the potential to be a KPF .... they bring in Jenkins and Cameron. Needed wot work on fitness and game time.. gets hurt at bad times and has not had a chance.

I rode Kersten to the grave and will here again too if it goes that way - but he's got to be given a shot first at the top level IMO.
