We have Tarrant and Biggy in the VFL as depth players. Tarrant is good for that depth role, just come in and play a man.

I wonder if Miller would be worth trying up forward in the VFL, given that's still a big hole on the list?

If he's not going to make it as a KPD, why not try him half a season as a VFL forward? What is there to lose if he's going to be cut anyway?

Pre draft he had good straight line speed and good goal kicking results. He's a nice size too.
I've been saying this for two seasons after half a game I saw him play. Looked a natural forward but has been there once for about 5 minutes since.

I can't see Tarrant back in just yet, and Biggy is going nicely so why not. It's not ridiculous to even give Biggy a shot up forward, is very good in the air and quick and we need a forward (next year or injuries this) far more than a reserve back. The VFL is a chance to look at players in different spots, why not move a few pieces around.

Worth a try considering we have no developing key forwards at all. Miller can go into the ruck too.

Dow I can cop, just, but not Ross. Sonsie is the future, get him in ASAP.
Ross has been given no favours by being played outside his natural position at AFL level.
His best games in both the VFL and early AFL was when he's played in the guts at the coal face, that's his natural position.

I'd like to see (when injuries/form allow) Ross given half a dozen games played purely at the stoppages and centre bounces, tackling and contesting at the packs. That's his role IMO.

Didn't watch this game but have watched most of the live streams this year.
Stack was always just a case of reaching a certain fitness & form level to be knocking on the door.
MRJ & Clarke were developing nicely. I actually thought it would be later in the season that MRJ got a run in the seniors, but good on him.
Sonsie looking most likely of the draftees to get a call-up this year. Rightly or wrongly, I'm seeing him as an Edwards-type player. Not soft but probably more suited as an outside receiver.
Banks & Brown both promising but no rush for either of them.
Biggie looks to have gone past Miller.
Martyn? I just can't see him replacing anyone as the bank-flanker they've been playing him as. Can't see him getting ahead of Dow, Ross, RCD or even Aarts any time soon as a midfielder either.
Cumberland had some nice moments but interrupted with injuries. Would like to see a steady improvement from him. Think he is a different type of player to anyone else on our list at the moment.

Tom Brown (11 disposals, four marks)

"A super talented player who we're looking for a little bit of a spike from. He played limited minutes on the weekend and I expect to see him take steps forward with a run under his belt.”

Would be a relief to see Brown have a really decent game, but Morris seems confident that is just around the corner.
Morris is spot on about this kid.

For me in terms of football IQ he was the most ready for senior football coming into the season.

He oozes composure and reliability. Reminds me a lot of how Nick Vlastuin came into the club.
Browns got immense athletic ability and at his age is already showing poise and composure beyond his years.

He’s a seriously talented kid and we could be seeing a future leader of the club.

Opinions on here about our players are like yoyo's
constantly changing weekly depending on that weeks performance

He is a gun
he wont make it
he is a gun again
he will be delisted

He is a gun again
get rid of him
You forgot the 'he was made to look good by a solid defensive unit around him'

Hes showed a bit to keep most hopefull but he's never performed consistently unfortunately.

Still doubtful on bigger but he seems to be more consistent in his game week to week this year. Involved in the game more with his marking and intercept play. Good depth atm.

Thank god for Gibcus
