Half joked l that clubs would need to send out a 'Challenge' to a club each week..could be reality for the VFLW.
The 2021 VFL fixture will be released at the end of February, and practice matches will begin in March.
Paddy McCartin (ex-Saints) is planning to play with Swans Reserves this year....no sign of any movement in the VFL but it's a big call to say that McCartin will be playing in it.

Imagine defending people who run a competition that haven't released a fixture 7 weeks before their season starts.
It's a merger of clubs from Vic, NSW and Qld, interested watchers from ACT and the Riverina too.
Of course you haven't heard of them all - what did you expect ?

Is there any reason why this comp is starting so early and thus clashing with AFLW ?
They want the state league comps to align with AFLW
But that's silly, the better players are in AFLW unless the clubs want a reserves comp so players who miss out get a game somewhere.

Good post, I too would like Port to play in a state league or a hybrid AFL reserves competition however playing in the Amateurs would be a real disappointment to one of the most historic and proud clubs in the world. Henry Perazo and Norm Goss would be turning in their graves if they heard such a thing.

Like who could criticise anything on here? After 6 months the VFLW fixture comes out...for this week and yet to see the men’s fixture. Top line stuff lol!

If you looked at the VFL website's front page, you'd have no idea that the VFLW is on this weekend. Shocking!
Just another example of the AFLs total lack of respect for anything external to docklands. The mind boggles..in fact I cannot believe that they have managed to produce one single fixture for VFLM and VFLW in the past 6 months!
