VFL Update: Mackie Injured Again

* Mr. Mackie barely lasted 15 minutes of the first quarter before limping off. Looked to be a knee, however he has apparently been having hip problems.
Either way, he was limping badly going into the sheds at halftime.

* Tim Sheringham hurt his right hand. Not sure of the severity, but it was bandaged up pretty heavily at halftime.

* Nathan also got injured again (looked to be knee or thigh), although he returned to the ground in the third quarter.

* Sanderson played, Dog and Fresh didn't.

* Highlight of the day was Kane Tenace' new haircut.

Bad news, Phat.

I received a text saying that Tim Callan has done his shoulder again. He did it within the first 10min apparently and immediately knew what was wrong. Looks like his year is probably over.

Terrible news and a real shame for a bloke who has had nothing go right this year.

Oh. :(

I didn't see Tim on the field at all, and we always had four on the bench (do they allow four or five at VFL level?).

Saw Fresh at halftime having a chat to Matt Maguire. Certainly didn't show any outward sign of injury, nor did he seem upset in any way. He's not the sulking type though.

Ii'd be shattered if Tim has done the shoulder again.

Nananana should be able to clarify when he gets on, hopefully his eyes are better than mine.

The Chant Guy told me he did within the first 10 mins of the game.
The Chant Guy didn't lob until halfway through the first quarter.

Well, if he was there at the start he wasn't in his normal spot and was remarkably quiet.

He's good value btw, really brings some atmosphere to the game.

I love the fact that he keeps going on with it despite sad ********ers laughing at him.

Every time he yelled out today a group of St. Kilda players stared at him and ********ed themselves laughing. Small things i guess.

And he had a jacket on too, you know its cold when he puts the jacket on!

He was also abused by the goal umpire as well. I was talking to him after the match and he said he told the umpire after a mistake that it was the third mistake he had made today and the goal umpire turned around and said "What the ******** would you know from that side of the fence"

Very poor effort by the goal umpire!!

Was pretty damn funny, we were standing with him when Charlie had a shot for goal in the 3rd looked like a goal to us and Chant Guy just starts having a niggle at him.

Loved it when the St Kilda boys had a go at him ... 'They arent POM POMS, we arent in america!!!'

Phat,

Is Nathan starting to hit a bit of form? I watched him in the intraclub games and a practive match where he kicked 5 but since then he seems to lack interest.

I have not had a chance to see the games lately, how is he going?

And the chant guy is great. Most passionate supporter i have seen...

Nathan struggled.

Spent a bit over a quarter on the bench with injury, before returning.

Couldn't get a kick in the time i saw (apart from a downfield free which resulted in a goal), but obviously kicked another couple late.

Hrmm, It sounds like he has struggled all year and is not going to come on as quick as his brother, although what can you expect with a first year player. I am sure he is going to be a super talent very soon.

Has anyone else seen a any of N.Ablett this year? I have only seen 3-5 games of his. Only 2 showed a fair bit of promise.

Did Steve Johnson play in the 2's today? How did he go?

Cheers

P.S Who is the chick in the pic?

Cheers
