Well, Collingwood did us a favour by beating Hawthorn. We just need to win now to make the finals. Early in the second half and we lead by 21, 5.3.33 to 2.0.12.

Shame their men's side couldn't repeat the dose. Were 19 points up at 3/4 time against Box Hill, and if they held on no Hawks side would feature in finals this year. Unfortunately Box Hill kicked 7.4 to 1.2 in the last quarter to sneak into the eight.

Teague dropped/omitted/injured (not sure) - doesn't tell us the changes to last week:

It’s do or die for Geelong’s VFLW team when they face Melbourne Uni in an elimination final on Saturday.

The game will be held at Adcon Stadium (North Port Oval) with the action commencing at 11.45am.

Exciting youngster Sophie van De Heuvel says the team is excited for this weekend’s clash.

“All of the girls are up and about with it being an exciting situation going on this weekend,” Van De Heuvel said.

“We have had a lot of ins and outs throughout the year and a lot of injuries, so to be where we are in the finals is really exciting.”

In the previous meeting between to the two sides, Geelong went down by a couple of goals but learnt a lot from the defeat.

They have performed well on the track this week and are ready for the challenge against Melbourne Uni.

I started watching and we seemed outclassed early while Melbourne Uni seemed more composed

Melbourne Uni are basically North Melbourne's AFLW side, so they have several gun players playing for them.

Stream the women's game K-rock doing radio doing more for the women than the men's, I guess they need it more

Maybe they'll be doing the men's later on too. Got nothing else to do this weekend.

How that wasn't a free to Geelong then for taking out the legs I'll never know. Was a textbook example of why the rule was introduced in the first place.
Then paid it the otherway.

Cat's starting to take their chances, only 9 points down now.

Free kick was paid, assuming it was for an interchange infringement as the free kick was taken 30m out straight in front.

yes Rocky - margin back to single figures

Should be back within a kick if that bald ump paid a clear holding the ball right in front of goal after a Melbourne Uni player tried to hatch the footy.
