Sophie Molan (GWV Rebels) picked up 10 disposals, laid eight tackles and scored a goal in the Western Bulldogs’ 78-point victory over the NT Thunder in her first VFLW match.

Molan said being involved in the Bulldogs’ program since finishing at GWV had been an eye-opening experience.

“When I walked in for the first training session and (Bulldogs AFLW captain) Ellie Blackburn was in the gym, I thought: ‘Wow, she’s actually my teammate’,” Molan said.

“It’s so amazing training with the AFLW girls. They all come and help you out. Kirsty Lamb has been really good for me; she always partners up with me in kicking drills and challenges me.

“(VFLW mentor) Sean Kavanagh is a great coach too. He’s really looking to develop me in all areas of the ground.”

Development is the focus for Molan’s contemporaries as well.

VFLW is a top 6 this year with the following structure.

731367

We can't finish any lower than 4th which means we will play either Richmond, Hawthorn, University or Geelong (very slim chance). If results go according to favourites we will beat Darebin and University will jump into 4th place which means we will be University in Week 1 at North Port Oval.

Excellent win by the girls on Saturday we now go straight to the Grand Final on Sunday 22nd at Princes Park if we win we'll be the first club to have an AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW Premiership in the cabinet.

So.. most of if not all of my recent posts have referenced my cat and this one is no different

He is just being a cat. Eating, sleeping and watching birds. When I get home from work we go outside and play chasey. He usually wins

Hang on a sec... Can you believe it? The Dogs are through to ANOTHER Grand Final!!!

Since I moved to Melb I have seen two VFL flags, one AFL flag, one AFLW flag and now we are playing for a VFLW flag. That is a lot of flags

Seriously, now is a great time to be alive and a Bulldogs fan. We are completely dominating football as a club and I can not wait for Sunday. I will be there and hope my request to be part of the guard of honour is accepted

GOOO!!......YOOOOOUUUU!!......DDOOOOGGSS!!!
