Paige Scott has kicked five goals with five minutes to go... Ripping game from the GWV Rebel product. Perfect timing too, clubs will be having a good think about drafting her if she can keep this effort up.

Ended up winning 9.6.60 to 1.2.8. That win cements our spot in the finals since we're now 3 games clear of 7th with 2 rounds remaining.

Watched the last quarter and a half, and some of the clearance work with Caris palming it down to Chloe Scheer at the centre bounce was beautiful to watch.

Do you think that Sheer would have the ability to transition into a midfielder at AFLW level - is it a fitness thing holding her back from spending more time in the guts?

She should definitely be an option to run through there at certain times - possibly 10 minutes a quarter and then rest forward. Even in that passage of play in the clip you posted, I think it was her long kick which found Paige Scott running out the back into an open goal, so her penetrating kick could be advantageous for us when we're trying to transition forward. Add a few Danger-like breaks from the centre bounce, and she could be a real weapon for us running through there.

I get the whole 'robbing Petra to pay Pauline' issue. But, fact is, she's far more dynamic and incisive bringing the ball out of the middle than most of the other players we have in our group.

Problem may be that we need two of her; one to get it in like that, and another one to capitalise on the ball coming in quickly and to a dangerous position.

Less than 5 minutes into the game and we've already been awarded at least 5/6 free kicks (or at least it does) - we've generally been first to the ball & playing with an attacking mindset which is likely helping in that factor, though not sure it'll continue across the match

Collingwood host Geelong at the AIA Centre (Olympic Park Oval), Saturday 2pm.

WARFRadio.com coverage (and 89.1FM at the ground) from 1pm. Live video stream on VFLW.TV from 2pm.

If Collingwood win, sixth spot is locked in. If the Pies lose, they can hold on if North lose to the Saints, or the combined Pies loss and North win doesn't make up about an 80 point gap. Cats are playing to secure 4th and a home final against the Saints. If the Cats lose, they can still hold fourth if the Saints lose.

Interesting that Laura Gardiner hasn't played again since being rested 2-3 weeks ago. Wonder if they're resting her up for the finals.

Coach Andrew Bruce told us on-air before the North Melbourne game, it (then) would be the last VFLW game for her, before being rested for AFLW pre-season.
