Girls had another thumping loss yesterday, losing to 1st placed North Melbourne by 88 points, 110-22. Our best chance for our first win since April last year could happen in the next few weeks - we play 10th placed Carlton who "only" beat us by 19 points earlier in the year (our closest loss of the season), and in three weeks time we play the also winless Casey. Both games are away from home though.

Must be so disheartening for the team to go out and get routinely thrashed every other week. Development is one thing. But I'm not sure how much of that happens when you're just so far off the pace in virtually every game.

As you say, hope the girls can muster up something special in the next few weeks to at least experience what it feels like to win a game. Would be a very unfamiliar feeling at this point.

Fair game by Hayley Peck - 23 possessions, 6 marks (4 contested), 3 tackles, 21 hit outs, 4 clearances and a game high 7 score involvements- and all this playing in the ruck on someone half a foot taller than her.

We're now off the bottom of the ladder

Could be two games off the bottom of the ladder next week - we play the bottom team next week, who broke through for their first win of the season today by spanking Essendon by 55 points.

Girls were absolutely robbed. Lost count of how many times a Sandringham player went for a fend off, get tackled again and the umpire call for a ball up instead of holding the ball. Learn the rules you muppets.

I wonder if anyone has counted how many players we've played at VFLW level this season. Would be nudging 50 I'd reckon.

Not sure on total players, but we've now fielded a team of debutants
