CFS advises that a bushfire at Bangor, in the Southern Flinders Ranges near Beetaloo and Wirrabara near Mills Road, Youngs Road, Palmer Road, Beetaloo Valley Road, Gladstone - Beetaloo Road, Rucioch Road, Wurst Road, Hilpara Track, Kleinig Road, Lynches Road, Charcoal Road, Marner Road, Forest Road and Wirrabara Detour Roads may threaten your safety.

The BANGOR fire is travelling in a Northerly direction towards Wirrabara Township and Wirrabara Forest. Residents in the settlements of Beetaloo, Beetaloo Valley, Laura and Stone Hut should remain vigilant, as there is still active fire on the southern and eastern sides of the fire. .

The fire is not controlled and is burning in Scrub and conditions are continually changing. The CFS is attending to this fire.

Check and follow your Bushfire Survival Plan and prepare for a bushfire in your area. If your plan is to leave or you are not prepared, leave now.

Only leave if the path is clear to a safe place.

You should not enter this area as the roads may not be safe.

Well prepared and actively defended homes can offer safety.

This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Ensay, Swifts Creek, Tambo Crossing, Tongio, Cassilis, Brookville, and Dargo.

Dargo - Danes Track Fire is at 1880 ha and is contained. Crews will continue to patrol the fire today due to hot and windy weather.

Marthavale - Friday Spur North Fire is at 140 ha's and is under control. Aircraft and ground crews will continue to monitor the area.




A Public Safety Zone has been declared around these fires. People are not permitted to enter or remain in the Public Safety Zone until 31 March 2014.





There are a number of forest roads and tracks that have been closed north of Tabberabbera, west of Seldom Seen and east of Dargo for public safety as crews and heavy machinery work in the area. Connecting tracks and roads between Boomerang Spur Track, Birregun Road, Jones Road, Morris Peak Road and Mt Baldhead Road are closed.


There is no threat to communities.

Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads.

The Northern Grampians Complex fire has not expanded and is now contained at 55,100 hectares with a perimeter of 257kms.


There is still active fire within the fire perimeter. Residents need to remain alert.

The fire is currently contained and firefighters continue to maintain the fire within containment lines.

Tindals Road between Heidelberg-Warrandyte Road and Harris Gully Road, is open to local residents only. Amersham Drive is closed to all traffic.


Staying close to shelter is the safest option, in case conditions change again suddenly. Continue to stay informed and monitor conditions.

- The Relief Centre at Eltham Community & Reception Centre, 801 Main Road, Eltham.
OR
- The Relief Centre at Donvale Indoor Sport Centre, 360 Springvale Road, Manningham.
- The home of family or friends that is away from the warning area.

There is a large bushfire travelling in a north easterly direction from Mt Ray towards Glenaladale, Hunter Corner and Iguana Creek.
This bushfire is currently not yet under control.

The fire could impact Hunter Corner and Iguana Creek within the next 24 hours.
The Bairnsdale - Dargo Road is closed to everyone except essential services.

Don't wait, leaving now is the safest option - conditions may change and get worse very quickly. Emergency Services may not be able to help you if you decide to stay.
