I am one of the few. Most Vic based supporters I know are from WA, but I have never even been to WA (yet) :)

Two reasons I came to barrack for them (since day dot):

- My favorite racehorse was of WA origin (see user name and avatar), and I have followed all things related to WA sporting because of this since

- I always thought the green/white/red was linked to the large Italian community in Fremantle, until that was shattered in the post re our jumper a couple of weeks back :o

Anyways, hoping to make it to a game at Subi next year if we play Colonwood there as most of my mates go for them

Belele is just down the west road about 43 miles. :thumbsu:

I could be wrong (it's happened once before, believe it or not) but I remember reading from the club that the green/red/white was partly a nod to the Italian community in Freo, as well as being the port/starboard thing.

I as well, seem to recall that being mentioned as well. Was quite some time ago.

Then you will be pleased to know that my Father just bought a horse and we named it 'Fremantle' after the Dockers!
 
i have lived in melbourne (prahran) 8 years, missed 1 game. seem a lot of floggings :)
