While that may be his car in the novels, it only featured in one movie which was the better forgotten and non canon "Never Say Never Again." The less said about that movie, how it came about, or the geriatric Sean Connery who appeared in it, the better. In the common zeitgeist inhabited by those self same hot milfs, its Aston all the way baby.

AFL suburban grounds have so many issues. Waverley, Icon, VIC Park and moorabbin just from memory have all suffered major political, residential and financial issues. Times have changed and the suburban model is just dead. Only sentiment remains. An offer that they can’t refuse for VP would probably be the end of the pies. It has the feel of the 90s when the club was a financial disaster.

VFL park suffered from three problems

Design of the stadium ( there’s half a dozen issues there)
Public transport and location
Land value . The land was just too valuable to keep!

Got more room there.
Big huge idea but build a say 75k seater there.
Pies home games only.
A modern age Vic park.
Plus room for car parking under the ground as well.
Even a roof.
Our own MCG combined with Marvel ground.
Fully run owned operated by the Collingwood Footy Club.
I think we could even have the whole Olympic park zone as the Collingwood territory and even take over AAMI park.
Combine A-league and NRL with Collingwood.
Make it one epically big sports area.
All under the Collingwood umbrella.
Bring it on.

All modern stadium are multipurpose to ensure a return. Anything else would be a money pit.
We have 100,000 members. 75k would be negative for the club for many home games.
I love the passion but many of these ideas align with the Collingwood going towards a bust in the 90s.

Nothing can be done to it.
Like it to become a true club oval.
Time Vic park was closed to the public.
Used only for footy and training.
Like in a way lights installed there so we can play night games in vfl and vflw and aflw.
Thats all ill do to the old girl.
And AFL Collingwood focus on KGM and MCG.
Like VP to be our new home in the VFL and VFLW formats.
Play AFLW at KGM.

So according to you, we’ve only been a professional football club for 26 years. We must have been an amateur football club for the other 107 years.
No wonder some of our supporters give us a bad reputation.
