There are some 2yo's with Hayes that have hardly even set foot in SA let alone raced there. But they are supposedly still SA horses?

Our horse aint an SA horse as far as i'm concerned. And I'd be fairly sure a number of other owners with horses with Hayes would say exactly the same thing.

SA trained horse moreso than SA horse is more accurate.
Still trained by a south aussie who is responsible for the horses success, owners just pay the bills. All credit goes to the trainer for the horses performance, so where he is from is more important than where an owner comes from.

This is a very odd discussion.
I agree that the trainer is very important but no owners = no racing.
A trainer cant take a horse off an owner.

Agreed but bottom line is that nobody knows where the owners come from, except for well known horses such as Makybe Diva (Santic = SA! ;) )
All credit goes to the trainer and he is responsible for the success so I take more pride out of when an SA trained horse wins a big race than an SA owned horse as a south aussie was responsible for the outcome and success.

Ok,but isnt that because you dont know where a horse is really owned?
Would you feel the same if you knew it was SA owned, even if not SA trained?

Do you know who owns Victory Chant?
Theyve obviously got some $$$ whoever they are

Like with Makybe Diva, I knew she was SA owned and of course had a soft spot for her.
Victory Chant is owned by some long-time clients of the trainer, the same people who owned Gold Guru and Gallant Guru apparently. One of them also part owned Undoubtedly!

Our horse was bred in NSW or Qld, purchased in Qld, is mostly owned in Victoria, but is trained out of Lindsay Park and had it's first run in SA. Does that make her a South Australian galloper i wonder?

C'mon Deej you can't talk about owning this filly and not tell us all her name!:)

I really couldn't give a rats where a horse is trained or owned. Racing isn't supposed to be tribal like that.

I reckon leave that bs to the team sports fans, not racing.

Our horse is an australian horse, if we go race in hong kong we're aussie, that's about as categorised as it should get.

I have found out that it had a disappointing jumpout the other day and it blew a bit afterwards. There is also another matter that I can't really go into. My advice would be to lay it next weekend.

I think having it go 2nd up into the Blue Diamond is stupid. It needs to learn to settle.

It got away with it when it had its first start in Adelaide, because 90% of Adelaide horses are terrible and didn't have the ability to chase.

Blue Diamonds and any big 2yo races for that matter are won by horses that settle and hit the line hard. Nothing is ever going to get an easy time out in front in these races.
