kerry was an equally bad candidate ... he is a jewish liberalist american, married to one of the richest women in america (HEINZ) family, claiming he is a democrat ... he flip flops on issues, similar to mark latham and quite rightly was no competition to bush (which is saying something!).

Yeh get out my protocols of Zion! Actually he is a fervent practising Roman Catholic. As to the flip flop issue Elixabeth 1 was the possibly the greatest monarch that England ever had and she always flip flopped - you will find that term was coined by Foxnews. Good to hear you parroting the party line

Preident Bush may have a nice little surprise for you. See transcript of Lateline last night:

http://www.abc.net.au/lateline/content/2004/s1234209.htm

and in particular

"I would prefer to focus on a surprising element of the elections I thought, enormously underargued, President Bush is far more in favour of a Palestinian state than Senator Kerry ever was.

I think the big test for him will now be to make good on his word as the first president ever to have mentioned the world Palestinian and state in the same sentence and though that might not have any direct bearing on the war in Iraq, it has an indirect bearing"

Didn't know you were a supporter of Palestinian freedom.
Thanks for posting that link DryRot.,I just missed the interview on lateline.I reckon Hitchens is the most accurate political commentator in the U.S.
He has an uncanny knack for rising above the bull******** to get to the crux of the matter.

I thought this was telling to some of the posters here who seem to think that Kerry somehow=peace.
Hitchins reffering to Kerry supporters...
and the other lot I feel sorry for are the move on dot.org Michael Moore type fans who must have been known every time they went on the circuit campaigning or raising money that they were pushing for a man who was promising to betray them.

actually I disagree.

I think a lot of good comes out of America.

greenpeace started of in the US, World Wild life fund started in the US, American individuals are more generous per capita than any other country, and frankly all the best movies come out of the US too.

bush will go down eventually, just as nixon went down.
Actually WWF DIDNT start in the US.

Lets face it all us 'lefties' know that both the Neo-cons and the Dems have the same goals, and 99% of the time the same means to achieve those goals, there would be no drastic change in foreign policy whatsoever. I think this is a long term win for the far left as it'll mean in 2008 it will force them to distinguish themselves further, already theres talk of Clinton and the black senator running, and while thats a receipy to lose the fact theres discussion about that already is a sign that the Dems might not just be a poor mans Republican in the U.S
