Video download Apps?

I used the 'Any Video Converter' to download old 60s/70s TV shows from Dailymotion and YT to watch at my leisure but it wont work on YT now. Is there any other app that can do YT?

i've used VLC media player for that. free. might have to search out the actual URL of the video (which is not what you see in the address bar on youtube) but instructions are around.
